posted a message on Multi-Furnace Interface
Hate when you are using multiple furnaces at the same time and you need to open and close each one even though they are right next to each other?

I think an interface that shows multiple furnaces all connected together (with a limit of say 6) would be super useful and time saving. Here's a picture to describe exactly what I mean.

I feel like this should be possible since the nuclear reactor in Industrial Craft does something similar where extra blocks touching the center one expand the inventory and you can then click any block to open the inventory.

I was thinking of making the bases different colors, do you have any opinion on which piston will be associated with which color?

I have no clue what color would equal what length? Maybe something like iron, gold, and diamond.

I was thinking something more along the lines of a number on the side or front (2,3,4, etc.). Not very creative design wise but seeing a clear number on the front of the piston would be super easy to identify.

    Maybe something like this?

    Finally,
I requested a mod like this about eight months ago. It was one of my very first posts when I joined the forum.
I will definitely be giving this a try when the block IDs are configurable. You seem to be very active in the post so I hop e it translates into an active mod that can really develop into something great.

One huge suggestion: A visual way to tell the pistons apart. I know you can read the names but just like in your demo video it can be confusing really fast since they all look the same.

Awesome job. I don't know why anyone didn't make this sooner.

posted a message on Piston Direction Tool
I absolutely hate having to place pistons. Especially in tight spaces; usually in order to get it to face the direction I want I end up having to mine out everything around it. Why can't there be a tool that you can use to right click on a piston to change the direction it's facing.

This definitely has to be possible, IC2, redpower, buildcraft all have a similar tool that they use to change what direction their blocks are facing. Why can't we have a tool like that for our pistons?

I am not sure but I think the Piston Patch does have a function to do that but I am not sure, I have never used it and it is not updated for 1.1 so I can't try it out. Maybe someone could chime in on that too.

Really? No one has any ideas? Ya know, I can do more than these cheesy mods...

How about a mod that makes adjacent furnaces have all their inventories appear when you click on one.
The nuclear reactor and it's reactor chambers in IC2 (industrial craft) are an example of what I mean; where you can click on any of the reactor blocks to access the combined inventory.

Probably with a limit of say four or six total furnaces connected.

P.S. I love me some flat bedrock! Thank You!

posted a message on Enchanting table conspiracy!
    Read the MinecraftWiki on Enchaning

The enchantment level is dependent upon the number of nearby bookshelves (capped at 30) and a "slot factor" of 0.50 for the topmost enchantment slot, 0.66 for the middle slot, and 1.00 for the bottom slot.

So yeah the bottom slot does have higher numbered enchanments, and the top slot does have the lowest.

Since EnchantView wasn't compatible with TooManyItems before is there a possibility that it would also not be compatible with ChickenBones Not Enough Items (NEI)?

After I put the .class file for EnchantView in my jar file and start up Minecraft the tooltip bubbles were the enchantments would be are empty.

I have other mods too but I just thought that it might be the first obvious choice. My other mods include Rei Minimap, Inv Tweaks, forge, modloader, modloaderMP, the complete RedPower, Simple Items Repair, Single Player Commands, and Timber!.

Structures (NPC Villages, Strongholds, ect.) can be disabled during world creation. A mod for that is quite unnecessary.

That's good to hear. Like I mentioned in my previous post I am still running 1.7.3 so I didn't know that option existed. That might be enough for me to want to give 1.8 a try; 1.9 is still going to be a "no" however.

Plus I forgot to mention the two biggest things I dislike in my original post:
Hunger Bar and the Experience Bar

    I am still using 1.7.3
But I haven't really played in about a week though because I just don't feel like it's the same.
It is just a beta and for me that's all it probably will ever be.

    @Kizd
a mod with tons of options isn't too crazy have you seen how many optifine has?

Something like a selection screen or a config file that we can change to remove all the dumb things added in the 1.8 and 1.9 updates.

Here's a list of the things I mean: new mobs (enderman, silverfish, snowmen, and the new nether mobs), NPC villages and the villagers, abandoned mineshaft, ravines, strongholds, giant mushrooms and their biome, and the mooshroom cow.

These things are just getting to be too much for me. Would it be so much to ask that they would fix all the bugged stuff first or even try to and then make it better. I mean come on, the boat is a prime example.

It just saddens me to see the direction this game is taking and home less and less I want to play it everyday.

posted a message on Ideas for WipeOut! Based Obsticles
I had the idea to make a map based off of the TV show so I started to play around with some things. Later I want to YouTube and saw that it had already been done, but I still wanted to give it a shot.

I started designing my qualifier course and ended up having four obstacles in it. Five would have been nice but I couldn't come up with anything else to make.

I was hoping to get some ideas of things that would not be crazy hard to make. I also want them to look good (meaning just the right size and no visible wiring).

Here's what I have so far:
    This is the start-

Next is a sucker punch type wall-

My big balls and hidden motivator-

I call this the Drop Blocks-

And here's a view of it all-

I also made a little Leader Board for players to post times.

I hope to come up with more, but am not to sure it the other things would even be possible. I might just skip the middle parts and go straight to the WipeOut Zone, which I have one or two ideas for.

I can upload it as well if I can get more done.

Pistosn can push pistons, can't they?

But it's only a 1:1 displacement. Not really helpful if you are trying to move across or up/down greater distances.

Imagine one triple piston could be used and an elevator between levels in a house. If you wanted to do that with regular pistons you would have to stack three and try to wire it up to work in both directions.

The standard piston is a neat thing but the fact that it can only move one block is disappointing when trying to make even crazier mechanisms.

I thought that if we had pistons that extended not just one block out but two and three they could be even more useful.

Maybe to make the new versions you would replace the iron in the original recipe with gold for two and diamond for three. Another possibility might be just stacking two or three normal pistons in the crafting table to produce the new ones.

I have no ideas about modding, so this might very well be impossible. I just wanted to throw my idea out there.
