Welp a post hasn't gone up in like a year so I've come to say that the project has not been shut down but instead moved we'll be going under a new name and a new premise with higher hopes
Here's a suggestion i have been thinking,a mesozoic creature,a reptile,and it's terrestrial.Yes it's a....crocodile.(Expected me saying dinosaur?)
Armadillosuchus,the,well.You know.look at the name.
Well, armadilosuchus was a medium sized creature, and it lived in arid enviroments. So,armadilosuchus should be semi-neutral,only attacking you when you attack it OR if he's eating.Armadilosuchus will bury himself when he sees a threat he KNOWS he can't run of(Ex:some sorrta large theropod). Also,he makes underground tunnels, like modern armadillos, and lay his eggs there. The eggs take s over 5 to 6 minecraft days to hatch.Whitin that 5 or 6 days, armadillosuchus will NOT get out of the tunnel. The tunnel is too small to a human fit in,but you can dig the entrance to enter it.Despite that, armadillosuchus will attack EVERETHING on the tunnel, exept himself and his babies.Armadillosuchus would have some chance of when you are attacking him to flop (Like modern turtles) and them, after de-floping,run away.it's a nice way to make him stop attacking you without killing it.Also,as he isn't very big,you can grab him while he's flopped.Armadillosuchus male's will attack other males until they do that(flop) and run away.Armadillosuchus diet includes bugs, small dinosaurs and mammals, and sometimes,he also turns into a scavenger. Also,he is mainly quadrupedal, but he can stand on the legs to intimidate possible predators and look out.Well, here's one of the best and more accurate pics of him:
P.S:He should have relatively high defence.Because you know.
armidillosuchus one of my favorites! (found out about it from trey or on your own?)
i have a new suggestion time for some incredibly obscure.......plants! (not what you thought i was going to say eh?)
(extinct) Archaefructus liaoningensis: one of the oldest flowering plants, i think it should have a variation system so that when you plant them they either have 1,2,3 or 4 stalks. http://collections.nmnh.si.edu/media/?i=10467498
(alive) beech tree: this tree has been around since the cretaceous period and would make a nice climbing tree for arboreal creatures, also can you make all the trees in the same design as the big trees mod?. http://treepicturesonline.com/tree-beech.jpg
a lion sized crocodilamorph (i think), A.I: will bask in sun for at least a quarter of the day (so be sure to add a basking spot!) it eats most aquatic animals smaller than a tiger shark it will also eat small land animals,it prefers humid environments and likes water it will wallow in shallow water but swim in deeper water (it swims like a modern crocodile) (be sure to add water to its enclosure!) it attacks prey mainly using its jaws but will also grab and slash using its claws.
I agree with yo,i'm tired of people only looking at famous dinosaurs and because of that they don't know incredebly amazing ones such as cryolophosaurus, drepanosaurus(Yeah,i know it isn't really a dinosaur),dsungrapterus, but instead prefer things such as tyranosaurus, utahraptor and pteranodon(That in my opinion are all very ''cliche'' and not have any unique feautures.Just a default teropod,a default dromeosaur and a default pterosaur. While thins like cryolopho or dsunga have very unique and amazing feautures, such as cryo's ''topett'' and dsungaripterus being a large pterosaur with teeth and a very bizzare crest.)
DREPANOSAURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! give the gecko, anteater, monkey, scorpion some love people!

(alive) maple tree: same as beech and as most of the trees would be a very good food source, hiding spot and even a good spot to make a nest. https://nataliazarinaa.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/red-maple-in-spring.jpg
(alive) hard fern: a medium sized fern great food for herbivores and a good hiding spot for small creatures.
http://www.edenproject.com/sites/default/files/hard-fern-blechnum-spicant.jpg
(alive) soft tree fern: a large fern (it can grow up to 15m!) that is great for large herbivores and perfect for nests, also please make trunk the same thickness as a stone wall. https://austinbotany.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/dicksonia_antarctica_1.jpg
(alive) ginko: a large tree that like almost all the trees on this list is good for climbing, eating, nesting, and shade,http://www.naturessunshine.com.au/assets/images/article images/ginkgo_tree1.jpg
(extinct) sigillaria: a tall tree from the carboniferous/Permian era it provides shade and nesting/climbing areas for small creatures. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/84/f2/78/84f278579c17aa0725c3f61a45bcfb5f.jpg
(extinct) Noeggerathiales:a small palm-like plant from the carbon/Permian era it provides vegetation for all kinds of herbivores and some hiding/climbing spots for smaller creatures. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eMWtH5QZyVg/T06Ng6k-n8I/AAAAAAAABpc/y0q6ogrfhbs/s1600/Paratingia AND CYCAD.jpg

i have a suggestion to make...
arizonasaurus (not a dinosaur)
a lion sized crocodilamorph (i think), A.I: will bask in sun for at least a quarter of the day (so be sure to add a basking spot!) it eats most aquatic animals smaller than a tiger shark it will also eat small land animals,it prefers humid environments and likes water it will wallow in shallow water but swim in deeper water (it swims like a modern crocodile) (be sure to add water to its enclosure!) it attacks prey mainly using its jaws but will also grab and slash using its claws.
my favorite picture of a arizonasaurus. http://pre00.deviantart.net/8970/th/pre/f/2016/076/f/0/arizonasaurus_by_tnilab_ekneb121-d9vefdi.jpg

i have a new suggestion
lets take a break from dinos and other prehistoric creatures to add some creatures which allow for better genetics!
house fly
african millipede
shrink spiders (please at least make it a option in the config file!)
spectacled caiman
fish (do we really need a specific type?)
tiger shark (you thought that helicoprion was coming from a squid?)
harris hawk (did you really think every dino was going to be a chicken?)
brown rat
tokay gecko
savanna monitor
african bullfrog,
tiger salamander
(i know this is a lot but its weird when mods add in prehistory but keep the basic farm animals minecraft currently has)

you know what i just realized there is no mod with a archaeopteryx
