hey guys I thought of something while looking at the title of this mod...

you have been mining all day long trying to get some diamonds for a new sword you look up at what you expect to be a beautiful sunset but instead it's and eclipse you stare at it wondering why it's there but think nothing more but as you walk home you hear screeches in the distance...and suddenly you see it! a portal to another time you step in and are never seen again.

my concept is that very rarely eclipses happen in your world and every eclipse a portal to the prehistoric eclipse dimension opens at some ruins or something (maybe a new dungeon or something?!) I don't think this is the only way to get to the prehistoric dimension but I would like to see something like this!

Ophiacodon is a good idea, but if we add Eryops, they would be too similar. The same is true for Proterogyrinus.

yeah they would fill the same kind if ecological nich too

I think I found a good candidate for the swamp rainforest biome: ophiacodon (it lived through in the late carboniferous to early Permian) I think that since it most likely lived in very watery habitats it would be at least "good" at swimming and I imagine living a life style similar to that of a water monitor (semi aquatic but favoring land) and now onto a quick little thing to help you get an idea of this thing's purpose would be if it were added,

as you walk through the murky waters of the swamp rainforest biome you scan ahead for horse-tails which would be a good place to find meganura and just one meganura could feed you for a while (can meganura be eaten?) and as you wade through the water you hear something splash into the water behind you you turn but see nothing but some floating plants you turn back to continue your hunt but then a ophiacodon lunges out of the water at you and drags you to your watery grave.

Also spinogigarex why did you choose prionosuchus over some of the bigger more ferocious ones like sarcosuchus or deinosuchus ?

because deinosauchus and sarcosauchus get enough attention already but prionosuchus both is more unique and (in my own opinion) fits the mod's overall environment better (plus i really want to see a prionosuchus with mossy tree frog like camouflage

Image result for vietnamese mossy tree frog

Prionosuchus is a animal of the Permian and Meganeura of the Carboniferous, so we can't add this in the swamp rainforest biome.

oh I thought each biome was that kind of environment throughout history (Permian swamps, carboniferous swamps, Cretaceous swamps etc) but anyways I would still like it if the prionosuchus was added in somewhere

also have you guys thought of adding in Prionosuchus? (a true reason to stay out of the swamp)

picture this your hunting for some meganura to eat and you see what you think is just a log floating down the water as you wade into the murky water to get your meganura suddenly a prionosuchus lunges out of the water and grabs you and drags you to your doom.

hey De-Extinction team! I propose i new idea for a little game/competition! (like how you guys used to take parts of new models and see if people would guess what it was correctly) where you guys suggest a creature and then people create what they think a enclosure for one would look like.

(sorry i just saw this on a different mods thread and thought it was awesome!)

this is not just a dinosaur mod it focuses on all extinct creatures such as dinosaurs, synapsids, dyapsids, pterosaurs, aquatic reptiles, prehistoric mammels, and recently extinct creatures...that is what makes this mod unique

    lets get some more mammals!

American zebra (Equus simplicidens): a horse that lived in North-America during the Pliocene (5-2 million years ago) and was about 4-5 feet tall and mainly ate grass (it may have had stripes but they probably were limited to one part of it's body), diet: will eat most grasses (wheat, hay, grass, tall grass, etc) but also can be fed things like apples and carrots, temperament: docile unless spooked (they see a predator) or attacked then they run, motion: when moving normally it trots along like a normal horse and when running it gallops they can't swim but they can jump, behavior: like most horses they are social animals and group together in herds but there is a hierarchy and the dominant individual eats, drinks, and mates first, (I'm not sure if this goes with the mods theme but here) when tamed: the American zebra can be used as a beast of burden and a mount...

(as always this is only a suggestion the team has complete power over what goes into the mod)

Late Cretaceous? Shouldn't it be late Triassic? Anyways, It's a good suggestion, all the same.

whoops it must have corrected me when i said Triassic!

well...time to get a conversation going!

-Plateosaurus: this prosauropod was from the late Triassic of Europe and grew up to 8 meters long.

-diet: it's herbivorous and will eat small (ferns, grass, etc) to medium (large bushes, low trees, etc) sized vegetation.

-temperament: neutral meaning it will be peaceful as long as it is not provoked and if provoked it will defend itself against it's attacker (mainly by swiping at it with it's large claws).

-motion: when walking normally it will be on all fours but when running/sprinting it goes on two legs, will not swim but will wallow in shallow water.

-behavior: is generally docile and walks around grazing they do not group in herds they are mainly solitary animals and really only socialize to mate.
