    posted a message on "Bedrock Gaming" Xbox 360 Hub ~ The Walls & PvP/Raiding Servers! *NOW SPONSORING SERVERS*
    Xbox Gamertag: Michael1767 (This is temporary, my Zangetsu125 account cannot be used at the moment)
    Age: 16, turning 17 soon!
    Country: United States
    Time Zone: Central Time Zone
    How long you've been playing Minecraft (PC/Xbox): I've been playing Minecraft for the PC since version 1.1 and on the Xbox 360 since it released.
    How good of a builder are you (scale of 1-10): 7
    Your best Minecraft creation (don't need pics): My friend and I made a huge castle in the xbox version.
    Are you good at redstone/pixel art? If so, how good? (scale of 1-10): I've actually never done any redstone art, but recently experimented with pixel art and made a pretty good diamond pickaxe
    When you are usually on Xbox (time of day): I'm usually on if my friends are. And if this server is active all the time, then I should be on a lot during the week and especially during the weekend.
    What server you're most interested in (Survival or Creative): I like survival servers the best, because there's a goal you aim for and there is a challenge.
    Any questions or comments?: I just want to explore the server and see the cool creations and work with others to accomplish goals!

    Can't wait!

    (Fixed this due to the fact I didn't meet all of the requirements in my previous application)

    Quote from AustinTheGreat

    This is what my friends and I use:

    Coal= .25
    Flint= .5
    Iron=1
    Ender Pearl= 1
    Gold= 5
    Diamond= 10

    Our community has about 4 wealthy players and the rest aren't poor, they just aren't as wealthy. My friend I play with the most has over 600 worth of currency

    I wouldn't use common ores or anything like that for a currency.

    Not really. I've never even been a part of an RPG world. All I know is what I've heard from people about everyone becoming rich and the game turns boring. Like I said, inflation... lack thereof, actually. If you don't know how currency works, don't be surprised when your community collapses on itself within a month and nobody wants to play anymore. That's all I'm saying.

    Why would someone go out of their way to institute some form of currency? This game can already work perfectly without it. You don't need to go through a bunch of extra hassle and regulation, making the game feel more like work than a nice way to relax at the end of the day. I just don't see the point, there's literally no reason behind it.

    Say I was on the left side of my porch, and I wanted to be on the right side. Well, I could simply take a few steps and be done with it. Or I could follow the principles of currency in Minecraft. This would probably entail something like running around the house, building an obstacle course in the back yard, completing said course, running around the other side of the house, then finally reaching my destination.

    It doesn't translate exactly, but... you get the point.

    I see your point. I just think that a community thrives with a successful economic system. It also makes things more interesting. But if some players were to become so wealthy that it would hinder new players, then, yes, it would create problems.

    I suppose if no other users apply for building then I'll have to start with the players who sent their applications.

    posted a message on Currency System?

    Newsflash: There are real people behind the characters you're playing with online. Real people with real personalities, and some of them will take advantage of the system. A society is a society, it doesn't matter if it's in real life or a virtual reality. In fact, it's most likely to amplify thoughts of greed because everyone knows there are no real world consequences and it's far easier to exploit the system.

    My suggestion is the abolishment of politics, something to make it easier for the host to moderate. If everyone supports everyone, there is no need for greed. Rewards for supporting the community are social, rather than material. Your status in the world is determined by how much you contribute to the wellbeing of everyone as a whole.

    "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need."

    It's the best way to build a strong community that's less likely to fall apart. If you haven't noticed, most RPG worlds on MCXBLA don't last more than a month. What do they all have in common? Currency. Think about it for a second, if there are a bunch of rich guys at the top with all of the money, that's going to discourage new players from joining in the first place. And if they do, it's probably not going to be fun working for scraps while the others have everything they could want.

    You must take Minecraft pretty seriously. I don't think many people playing a sandbox game like Minecraft worry about any of that, bro. I guess that's an interesting way to look at it?

    posted a message on End additions. Why?
    I definitely think they should add to the End. They should have like what the Nether has, the fortresses. Imagine if you had to fight through a huge structure like that then battle the Ender Dragon.

    posted a message on whats your average fps in minecraft?
    In a randomly generated world, with the Optifine mod with all of the best settings for FPS boost, usually it can range from 15-30. Yeah, terrible I know. I had actually just gotten a new laptop that has pretty impressive specs except for the graphics card (Intel HD Graphics). But until I get like an Alienware gaming computer, I'll play more on the Xbox than the computer.

    posted a message on Currency System?

    Why does everyone always want to have a currency in their world?

    Minecraft is the perfect game for an anarcho-Communist community to thrive. Why not just let it? With a currency, eventually you'll have people far wealthier than anyone else that pretty much control the world, yet the new guys can't even afford anything. Haven't you been keeping up with current events? Capitalism just isn't working.

    If anything, just have a world based on trading. It's still not ideal, and will still be a source of greed, but it's still better than an official currency.

    LMAO? This is Minecraft, not real world politics. Anyway, I think currency makes things more interesting. Usually people use gold bars or paper.

    3,322 diamonds by strip mining, spelunking, mining out massive areas y=16 and below, chests.
    No mods are used and no x-ray texture packs to find possible locations for them.

    A fortune 3 pick is very helpful too.
