    Hello !

This map is cool, I like not knowing which biome I'm going to get. But I think you should have made the top of each chunk at the same level, because the level difference between two chunks can be more than 15 blocks. I hate these ugly walls I got on the map, it looks like when you go to a new area after updating from 1.6 to 1.7. :(

Here is a picture of my "base", it's just a wheat farm, my cows (one has escaped!) and a half mob farm (kinda cheaty, I just have to wait a little bit and bim, 5 levels for a new chunk :P ), my swimming pool (not really one, but well...) and the nether portal to the sop !

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really sorry it took me so long to reply, had some personal reasons :l

That's quite a fascinating base you've got there! The only reason I didn't want to make all those chunks the same level, is just to make them feel more natural, just in case if I cut a cave or something like that.

I kind of had an idea of revamping the chunk shop, so, for example, you would be only be able to buy chunks in the green circle, and when you've bought them all out, the next circle would unlock and the chunks would cost more expensive. It's just that this map didn't get much attention, so I'm not really motivated to mess around with those cool little features right now. :P

I've done some testing recently, and found out that if you actually have a high render distance, the chances of a bug where the chunk doesn't load (When it says "Loading Chunk... Please wait.." but it doesn't say the rarity, nor the biome, it means the redstone was glitched (not loading or updating).) will decrease greatly. This is why I'm updating this post and put a huge notice in front of the post so everyone will know and avoid that bug.

Oh, no problem. And mission accomplished. lol I learned with my blocky head. I even made a silly cobble pool on top of a giant tree to solve the issue.

Thanks for sharing screenshots! :P What really matters to me is that you're at least enjoying this map as much as I did building it^^

It's good, but you failed to warn me that leaving the nether shop involved jumping into "lava" which took me into a complete free-fall towards my spawn chunk to my death.

My only suggestion is to make a safer way back to the over-world or at least make a sign/note/something. "hey buddy, might wanna....make a small pool of water where you spawn"

Well, for some reason I wanted to make people learn this the harsh way, but now I've realized how frustrating this can be. I guess I will put a small little sign somewhere that will give some hints. Thanks for your feedback though! :)

When my friend and I went to the nether, we couldn't find the button. We did, however, find a sign that told us we weren't supposed to be there and that we should report it.

    Quick note -

    • Was your server 1.9 or above?

Hmmm, interesting. The point is that you're not supposed to be in the actual "Nether", instead you're teleported into a different location. Now the fact that you were not teleported into another location is a problem here :/ I'll try to see how to fix this with my second account, also could you please say if it was on a lan server, bukkit or other. c:

    IMPORTANT
WHEN YOU ARE BUYING A CHUNK, INCREASE YOUR RENDER DISTANCE TO AROUND 10+ AND PRESS F3+A TO RELOAD ALL CHUNKS. (This will greatly minimize the possibility of a bug that doesn't let you buy a chunk.)

    Chunk Simulator

So pretty much you're stranded inside a 9x9 chunk box, and have the ability to buy more chunks for 5 levels each.

However, the most interesting part is that the chunks are random and there's a total of 76 possible chunks that you can buy.

    Videos

If anyone has any gameplay videos, feel free to post them in the comments below and I'll add them here ;)

    After a few purchases.

    More Information

I'm not completely sure how this will turn out, I've spent a lot of time making this, and really hope that people will enjoy this creation^^

Please bear in mind that this is pretty "fresh", so expect some bugs there and here. So if you do experience any, please report them to me immediately c:

I always try to keep things original, and the fact about Survival maps always being repetitive kind of frustrates me, so I thought why not adding a huge "randomness" factor? To be honest, first time playing this map you will probably really like it, but then after awhile some of the chunks will repeat, and you might already know where all of the goodies are.

Oh, and three important last facts to mention -

    • The shop is only accessible through the nether portal.
    • New chunks WILL overwrite your already built blocks.
    • This only works in 1.9+
    Known Bugs

Sometimes when a chunk is bought, the button disappears but the chunk is not bought. The reason behind that is the redstone not updating and being pretty much frozen, not rendered.

    Have a nice day! [:

Ayye, added a playthrough video to those who are stuck and are searching for answers.

    *Update - I might not continue with this map, mostly because I don't find this very interesting to build. I'm very sorry ;-;

Though I'll still probably build some other maps that I find fun to build, and I'll be still looking into some random feedback! :D

    Hey, nice map!

On the level where I have to click G, how did you get it so that I can click something within normal text? What's the command? I am working on a map myself and that feature would come in handy! Thanks, and great work!

Thankss, to do the clicking text thingy, I can't really explain. But here's a command that will run a command "say lol" after you press this letter.

    /tellraw @p ["",{"text":"l","clickEvent":{"action":"run_command","value":"say lol"}}]

hey, i just played the map and LOVED it, can't wait to try out the next floors.

i did found a small bug, in the redstone floor, if you go to room 2, wire up some redstone and act really quickly (pressing the button then running to room 3), you can get yourself stuck in room 3.

Thankz, I actually already knew about this bug, and I'll try to fix it after I'll release a new update. (Not sure when though.)

I'll try to continue if I'm not too lazy, but I'll probably will only continue in like a month or so, dunno really (depends if many people will actually download this)

I've realised that my map has a horror feel to it, which I didn't even intend to have xD

Bro, never stop this map it is the best.

You should also add level selection for the ones who have finished the past levels

    Thanks! :D

About the level selection... I guess it could be done..
