posted a message on is minecraft still scary
Ehhh... They could add some more scarier mobs for sure... I know minecraft is kind of a PG type of game, but it would be cool to be walking in a cave and have some creepy thing walking on all fours that can move really quick and make like 1x1 tunnels or something and stalk the player... Throw in some creepy sound files and animations for it and it would be pretty solid. BUT like I said, Younger kids DO play the game so its kind of hard to make it scary for "thrill seeker" gamers like myself.

You can use a daylight sensor to replicate day and night cycles for underground farms by linking redstone lamps to a daylight sensor(s) above ground... Common knowledge, I know lol.

Carbonikus was the first god to descend to minecraftia. He gave the breathers the elements gold and fire. He was also the first god killed by the darkness. His soul forever rests in the eternal plane. (The end).

The end is quite a peaceful place if you think about it.

posted a message on Super Secret Settings Exposed! Minecraft 1.7 Snapshot
Have you ever noticed how minecraft has progressed very similarly to the way life starts on a new planet? In the beginning there was only one layout for biomes and a few mobs. If you look at it like time it seems as if everything in the minecraft world is progressing like real life. You started off in beta as a caveman with basic tools and blocks. Now theres villages and more life and changed terrain. It would make sense if minecraftian civilization was reaching the space age, I.E. galacticraft..... Idk sounds far fetched but I guess I couldn't explain it any easier lol.

posted a message on Not everyone wants to "add a mod"
    Quote from Hambeau

Personally, I would prefer that "Vanilla Minecraft" be as simple and, well, Vanilla as is possible. This would allow Mojang to focus on game mechanics instead of adding/removing things, and let the modders have the freedom of defining different game rules.

According to a video from 2012 I saw recently one of the end goals (at that time) was to make MC so modular when the API is finished that any, or even all elements of Vanilla could be replaced by 3rd party Mods, or Resource packs.

The more that's in the base game, the more would have to be changed for API compliance if this is still a goal.
    EXACTLY! This is my point.

First of all, I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "elitist".

Second, I'm not sure what prompted this topic of yours, but my guess is that you suggested that something be added to vanilla Minecraft, and your idea was shot down by people that did not like it, and who pointed out that there was already a mod for it anyway.

Now there's nothing wrong with thinking that something is "so good" that it should actually be in vanilla, but you have to accept that not everyone will agree with you. And as Akynth said, the key advantage to mods is that they are NOT forced on everyone. They allow people to play the game how they want. That's what mods are for.

Expecting and demanding that something you like be forced on everyone, just because you are too lazy to learn how to install a mod, sounds a little bit selfish to me.
No I was reading another post and saw how crappy people were getting when some dude had a suggestion for a mob. Kinda irked me. I like mods and all, Im not against them. I would just like to see people discuss something rather than dismiss it with an "Im right" (or elitist) attitude.

It's a seamless set of 6 PNG images, not an actual seed.
surely those pictures were taken of a real seed though.... I've also found myself wondering this same thing.

posted a message on what is the purpose of zombies?
I disagree with some of these comments... Ive found myself lost in a cave close to bedrock with almost no gear and I was starving. I ate rotten flesh to survive for at least 5 or 6 in game days. If it wasn't for zombies I would've died of starvation.

posted a message on Not everyone wants to "add a mod"
Okay so, I see a lot of posts from people suggesting things or wishing things were in the game. But there's always those people who say "Well if you want it in the game just mod it and quit ing". Some people don't want to mod the game, They want to see their idea in the game as a legitimate part of the game. If people keep relying on mods for things then whats the point of the updates? Next time someone has an idea thats already a mod please keep your mouth shut, They probably already know its a mod and the last thing they want to hear is some "elitist" telling them what to do and insulting them... Just some food for thought.

    Quote from KingzofDawn

What do you see when you gaze out into the ocean? Water. What's in a river? Water and rocks.
and visible fish and treasure chests and junk and gold... It would add some flavor to rivers if they added small ore deposits underneath the sand in the rivers. In Oceans there could be countless things. Sunken cities and temples, treasure chests (again) ships, Kelp lots of visible fish and I know they already added "Deep Ocean" But I would like to see a truly deep black Ocean where you cant see the bottom or at least areas in deep oceans that spawn massive MASSIVE trenches, like the marianas trench or whatever its called... They can do a WHOLE lot with water biomes... Also, I know its a mod already but they should bring finite water back as an option.

posted a message on Underground Base Help
I have an underground "all in one" base. I usually line the walls with iron to prevent creepers or anything else outside of the walls from getting in and usually mobs wont spawn in an area that has a lot of light. As for farming I have several rooms set up with redstone lights hooked up to a single daylight sensor so I can replicate day and night cycles for their growth. My base consists of 4 sectors (Currently) Each one is connected to a central transit hub that is located at the foothills of a mountain (The rough terrain makes it hard for mobs to move around the area) And always be sure to leave room in each sector for another tram branch off so you can expand constantly. There is also a way to make a complicated tunneling machine out of pistons that is capable of digging a 3 by 3 tunnel. I only recommend this for digging deep areas because its technically not "digging" its pushing the rocks out of the way and if you let it go too long it could really mess things up. (WIP)... Anyway I hope these ideas can be of some use to you.

Why do you have to be a snarky douche about this and say what everyone else says when they see a repeated post "Redundant". Its almost like a lingo fad and it makes you look like a jackass. Granted he could have looked this up before posting, but don't be a **** about it.
