    The particle code isn't so much microblock particles as it is particles that come from a TE. The regular particles come from getIcon, which only provides side and metadata. The version I have gets the icon from getTexture. It can also have the icon passed right in.

    As for the tubes, I haven't actually worked on any tube logic, just thought about how it may be done. The tube module at the moment does nothing.

    The render code is found under mods/ft975/lighting/render, the particle code can be found in mods/ft975/util/particle & mods/ft975/util/extensibles/BlockExt. The licence is http://opensource.org/licenses/MIT, which allows you to do anything you'd like with the code.

    Edit: I just looked at your code and saw that you are using a random number generator to prevent z-fighting, an inefficient method. The way I do my lamps is to render in two passes, and turn off depth mask while rendering the rays:

    I don't think chunkloads are safe for frames. When the game crashes while a frame is moving, the chunkloader turns into two, one with NBT data and one without. To fix the issue I had to go in MCEdit and delete the chunk loaders as well as delete the forcedchunks.dat file. Pictures of the chunkloaders and NBT data HERE

    That's a known bug in Minecraft. It will occasionally place entities into the wrong chunk. I need to have MCEdit check for and fix this whenever it loads a chunk, or else as you say it will be impossible to delete the entities. (That's because MCEdit only looks at every chunk in the selection when you "Delete Entities")



    Double-check your python version and make sure you downloaded the right MCEdit.



    Um, I'm sorry about this, but because you didn't say whether you are using server mods, I really have no idea what's causing that. Are you respawning at your bed?



    If you've mastered MCEdit, then you know how to pick up an air block this way.



    1.5 megablocks is small fry. MCEdit was initially created to import old Classic and Indev maps into the newest version of Minecraft, and those old maps are 128 megablocks or more.

    For even larger transfers, you'll want to use the 64-bit version of MCEdit to be sure you won't get a MemoryError.




    The first thing you should try is go to your graphics card settings and reset everything to defaults. If that doesn't work, reinstall the graphics drivers.



    I can tell you the technical part of that (it happens when the TerrainPopulated flag is turned off) but there's currently no way to take advantage of it through MCEdit. It's something I'm definitely looking at, though.
