Having just completed the install, I would suggest to read the instructions again. You have to open the .json file in a text editor and add the .wdl to the id field within the .json file.

Look for 1.7.2 on the first line of the .json file and change it to 1.7.2.wdl and you'll probably be okay.

I have read, over time, every message on the currently 52 pages of this specific forum. Without exception, the common suggestion is that posters should not ask when the next version will be released. Probably the next most common suggestion is that requesting updates isn't going to speed up the process. Read the messages and one will learn that the project is underway.

"The least he could do..." is meaningless. The creator of this work has zero obligations to anyone and is generous enough to use his talents to improve this sort of thing for the community. If someone contributes financially, perhaps there may be some benefit beyond helping the situation, but realistically, let the man do his thing on his own schedule.
