Some rando stuff I've done recently:

    1. Some Blocky World peops and I mounted some horses and took a trip out to the Stronghold on the other side of the main continent to visit the End and get them an elytra. I wound up flying around for a couple hours trying to find End Castles, my elytra broke and I fell out of the sky, losing all my fully enchanted gear and inventory. It was tragic and painful, but after a few hours the next day, I got a new set of enchanted gear.

    2. I finally figured out the street / grid layout I want to implement on my island city Brujuku-ku, and started extending the street down toward an area where I will be building an iron farm and mob farm district. The lower areas will be for some more industrial farms including an iron farm, a mob farm and probably a Brujuku Brewery potion farm facility, the area on the plateau which is called Nephuku Heights will be a more residential district with brownstones, bodegas, an automatic-record farm Nephuku Records shop, and more.

    3. Wound up giving an impromptu tour of my base to a neighbor, showing the trash cans in my city where you can discard random items which will all be funneled into the item sorter / storage facility in my Nephuku Estate base. I told her to throw her trash in the trash can to clear her inventory, and then told her to throw her sword in, where she was like "NO!" I convinced her to trust me, she threw it in, and showed her how it was sent through the sorting system and deposited safely into a return chest for un-sortable items.

    4. After renaming the spawn town about ten million times trying to find something catchy enough to stick, I finally settled on the name Funkytown. Another member is building an Inn for Funkytown and I think we're going to build a train station called The Love Train.

    5. I received a cake at my mailbox in Funkytown with a rather rude message written to me in Japanese. XD

The server is starting to get pretty fun. It took me forever to figure out exactly how I wanted my city to be laid out, but now that I have a loose idea of how it will be built I'm going to focus on designing the buildings which will house my various farms, and build a strong infrastructure of supplies for future builds, and probably open up some shops in Funkytown where I will sell iron and gunpowder and other resources. :)

I finished the rough layout of the subway system / Neapolitan Ave. subway stop outside my base in Brujuku-ku, based off the subway system in Brooklyn NY. There will be 2-3 subway stops across the city, and will eventually be connected up to a train running back to the server spawn town. I'm developing a working subway token system, where you will be able to purchase 32 tokens for 1 diamond at machine just outside the subway gate entrance, and enter them into shulkers activating the gate, letting you into the subway platform. I also renamed the server spawn town Funkytown, and helped finish up the foundation of the Funkytown Inn, which another server member is building to house villagers.

Woah. That's actually a dope idea as well, End Water, which falls up.

Really beautiful, dude. I think the video could be a bit more streamlined and concise, just because your audience will probably have a low attention span for a simple how-to tutorial. But really beautiful and well done.

I wouldn't call it futuristic, it's pretty well grounded in fantasy fiction.

That said, I tend to resist the limitations people impose on Minecraft by insisting it never stray too far from its original medieval fantasy themes. The fact that people literally build and program functional computers within the game have long destroyed that concept, the game should continue to nurture its potential, including a little dose of sci-fi, rather than handicapping itself as just some little fantasy game. Minecraft is far more grand and wonderful than that, imo.

A super-massive mushroom with multiple branches and heads and a hobbit-hole-like interior structure constructed throughout with circular windows and doors and bridges poking out on multiple levels all the way up to the top.

It's pretty clear, given the excellent new Nether update, that eventually Mojang will have to release an update transforming the End dimension and filling it to the brim with new content. One idea I think is a must for an End Update is a sand/gravel-like block which falls upwards. The bottom surface of floating End islands should be covered in a layer of End Pebbles which rest upon the bottom of any non-gravity based block. If a falling block and a block of End Pebbles meet, they will both cancel out the other's gravity, suspending both in the air. Or they could potentially combine into a third kind of block with properties somehow different from both gravity and non-gravity based blocks. Perhaps one which falls sideways, whose horizontal direction of gravity is randomly determined? Or creates a black hole like portal to the End?

I have a kitchen with a sink where I can come back after a long session of mining or looting or whatever and stick a shulker box full of random items on top of the sink and it’ll suck everything out, sort what it can sort, then return unsortable items to a chest above the sink. Immensely useful.

Cured a couple zombie villagers in Brujuku and have bred about 20+ of them now.

Also worked out some nice subway / street lamp / traffic light designs and road layout.

But the coolest thing I've done recently is that I had a little stroke of baby genius, you see the trash can my buddy Rockmih is standing on in the middle pic, I've hooked up all the trashcans on every street corner to funnel items to my item sorter. So you can walk along the street and just dump any random item into a trash can, and it will all get sent to my base and sorted in my storage system. I'm going to expand this across the entire island-city, so you can be anywhere in Brujuku-ku, and just dump items into a trash can, and they will all be sent either to my base, or eventually to a massive centralized storage facility called the Brujuku Yield Index.

And also just generally screwing around with my server buds on the Blocky World. :)
