posted a message on Amicus Server [Community] [Whitelisted] [Family]

    Name: Austin

    IGN: TheFleetAdmiral

    Age: 17

Where are you from: Illinois, United States

What you enjoy about Minecraft: The immense creativity the players put into the game, from massive farms to redstone computers to community interactions, it feels different from other games as it has no limits, and feels rewarding to invest time in. It is a game I can always go to to feel relaxed and explore.

What you are looking for in a Minecraft community: A small, highly active player-base that works together on large projects and is free of griefing and scamming. I like a more personal community, rather than a bunch of strangers. I have been looking for this type of server for about 2 years since my last one went down, and have been moving from large server to server. I would love to finally settle in a small, stable community. I want to go back to when I was on a small server, and relive memories and make new ones.

A bit about yourself: I am an avid gamer and play League, Garry's mod, and other assorted things when I'm not playing minecraft. I have known Kiriel for a while now and he asked me to post this application! I also love cooking, biking, and reading. I have both Team Speak and Skype, and frequently listen to pop music. I am generally very calm and love to learn more about other people! I am generally pretty private about my personal life to most people, it takes me a while to get adjusted and feel trusting, but hopefully that will not be a problem.

Why we should accept you: I've been playing Minecraft for years and have been active in the community on forums, servers, new content and bug testing. I have played on other small servers like this and moderated until they went down. I put a lot of time into the game and love working on huge projects. Likely, I will be one of the most active members as I love to commit to building up a home and base. I hope to be a good addition to you all!

posted a message on Autofish Mod

Hey this works pretty well! The one problem I have it Lag Clear plugins that delete entities every so often. This deletes the bobber from the rod and it stop fishing. If a feature could be added to counteract this random entity clearing, I would love it! Thanks for the great mod.

posted a message on Item frame bug fixed - unfortunately
The Monday 13w43a snapshot has fixed a bug where maps that contain transparency, when placed onto an item frame, would cause it to be see-through. This allowed amazing one-way glass and this Las Vegas lights by SimplySarc (). This may have been a bug, but should be brought back as a feature in a new snapshot for the purpose that map makers can use it for. Post below if you agree or disagree.

posted a message on What if for Halloween?
What they did for Halloween last year was temporarily make zombies have a random chance of spawning with pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns for a spooky feel. They may do something similar, but certainly nothing that will make you pee yourself.

posted a message on /testforblock question
If you don't want to use /testforblock for some nostalgic reason, you can use a DUD switch (Data update detector) rather than a BUD connected to a counter. Using good old fashioned redstone circuits, you can have actions occur at every bite, or when the cake is gone. But the /testforblock is your best options frankly.

posted a message on 13w41b bug
Well it frankly looks like you are using a potion of night vision, which can cause some odd effects with lighting. If this isn't the case then it is a bug, and relogging will likely fix it. If it doesn't, it should be repaired in a snapshot. If it continues to be a problem feel free to report it as a bug on Mojang.com

posted a message on New Item ID System!
Just to let everyone know, the "minecraft:" part is unnecessary for now, but once you add a mod to it you should type it, as that part will be the mods name, making it easier to determine what part of minecraft the item is from.

posted a message on Ender Crystal
    Quote from TwinBuilder

The correct command would be /summon ~ ~ ~ EnderCrystal. Where the ~s are, you put the coordinates you want the Crystal to spawn in.

Make sure you use the correct capitalization!

You don't actually need to put in cords. The ~ ~ ~ spawns it right where you type the command, so it's the same as /summon EnderCrystal. You can do ~5 ~ ~ to put it 5 blocks in front of you, ect, though.

posted a message on Launcher wont start!
Although I can't help with launcher support, you can download the jar at https://s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Download/versions/1.6.4/1.6.4.jar and manually install it like a snapshot. This should allow you to play, and hopefully your bug gets fixed :)

posted a message on Any word on more Sound effects?
As Slimy said, as of today, the release of 13w42a, custom sounds for resource packs are now fully supported! They can be used in /playsound as well, making more options open to map makers.

posted a message on fishing overpowered, underpowered, or just right?
I believe it is very balanced. There is a small chance of getting anything other than fish, and when that happens, it is almost "Junk". The items that are actually good are books, which require additional EXP to use. Fishing alone won't get much, but it is a nice addition to someone who is already far into their survival experience.

posted a message on How do I stop Iron Golems from killing me?
Whoa whoa whoa, people are getting too complicated. Villages keep data on each player ranging -30 to +10. When the value falls below -14, the golem will always attack the player. It is lowered by 1 by hitting a villager, minus 2 for killing one, minus 3 for attacking a baby villager, and minus 5 for killing the golem. But the easy fix is to simply trade with the villagers. Every 1 trade is a +1 to reputation in the village, so trade to avoid attack! Hope this helps!

posted a message on Resource Limiter
If you want to make this for a custom adventure/survival map, I suggest using MCEdit filters, as there are some that can change ore generation. As for vanilla, I wouldn't suggest it, however. The closest thing is custom superflat worlds, and should probably stay that way.

posted a message on Question about the snapshots and 1.7 terrain generation
What my server does is play in snapshot, but limit players to go only a few hundred blocks from spawn. If for some reason world generation is changed the rest of the world is safe to explore, and no major issues exist. At this point, I don't think any new stuff will be added to generation though.

posted a message on THE RAIN NEVER ENDS
The rain is extremely annoying, but the server I played on noticed it before 41a. They had to manage the server from the website and manually crash it to make it stop. No commands worked. I am thankful people find these bugs so fast and report them, and Mojang actually fixes them ^.^
