I would just like to add, that when making this guide, there was a pretty long conversation on this point. To be fair, the person posting this, this is just their personality. Being sarcastic is just how they talk. It adds character to the guide. You can't just saying "You made a mistake doing this, but it's fine. It's all fine.". You can't be overtly rude either, but this guide isn't. The guide is just telling people what they need to know. You can't just use the argument "Everyone else is doing it, so I can", but you can't completely change how you tell people things because a few people might be offended. People are always going to be offended.
If someone can't take something that is obviously sarcasm, directed at no one in particular, than I'm sorry, but they shouldn't be on the internet. What I mean is, this is almost practice. If someone can't take sarcasm that isn't directed on them, how on earth are they going to take rude comments from critics that are directly insulting them? And really, anyone mature enough to admit that their idea needs improving, and to ask for help, will probably be mature enough to realize that this isn't insulting them
In short, this guide isn't mean. It's mature.

Sorry, to add to this. Couldn't resist. I love a good debate.

posted a message on Sneaking- The Stealthy Way Out

Just want to point out real quick, that the fact that a couple FPS game have this, doesn't mean, it's a good idea for minecraft.

So, I like the idea of sneak attacks, and the way you implemented it. But I really don't like the dagger part. I can live with having a dagger, if it was implemented right. How you described it though, it just seems like "less x more y", but with helping the sneak attack. I personally feel that the dagger should just be less damage than a sword, but more when you're sneaking. This would also go more with was you said about adding another playing style besides the tank. You either have to have strong armor and a strong weapon to go in charging, or have weak armor and a weak weapon, and be skilled enough to get a bonus.

Not really sure how to do this, but something I'd like to see would be a way for sneaking to help in PvP using this new mechanic.

    Partial Support.

    Quote from Lethal0428»

Sorry, but I think the only problem here is that people don't like change. It's pretty simple how to beat both raids.
Witch: Have plenty of milk buckets on hand to clear poison. Distance yourself from them, launching arrows into them with bows.
Enderman: As you've stated, a player's base can be surrounded in a moat, effectively canceling out Ender Raids.
Did I mention that these events are End-Game, occuring rarely if and ONLY IF the player has defeated a certain boss?

That's assuming you have time to prepare. In this case, you don't.

posted a message on Mob Sieges and Other Events

Partial support. I love the idea of having a huge battle with lots of mobs, but I don't really like different waves. It feels like a minigame. If I had it work, it'd probably be like this. If it happens, then 20-30 blocks away from your spawn point in all directions get a huge boost in a specific mob generation. For instance, if an Enderman siege happened, then in an areas 20-30 blocks away from your house in all directions, Endermen spawn chances (or rates or whatever) would get a 100% boost, and all endermen in this range are immediately hostile and aware of your current position. This would be like a siege, while having a more "natural" feeling. Also, not sure if this is possible.

Either way, partial support. I'd like to see this in some way or form.

are you kidding me? its complicated?? i'm almost DONE! if mojang is having that much trouble coding this then so help us all! and no, i'm not ignoring other suggestions because they are not suggestions they are pointless babbles of how they dont want the feature in the game and that they hate it, calling me an idiot, no, i refuse to call that a suggestion. lel

Dude, that's not hate. That's critics telling you what they think about it, which is the whole. Job. It's not calling you an idiot. It's saying your idea is not good. That's what happens when you create a suggestion.

posted a message on A More Detailed Injury system
    Quote from shawniepie»

First off, I know what you may be thinking, "A injury system, no!". I'm here to convince you that my injury system is something you should want. Well, on to the main post!

    As been said, gameplay>realism.

Ok, let's start this out with fall injuries!

The first one is breaking your right or left leg. The debuffs about this is pretty much what you would think. You can barely walk (Wait you can't walk, I couldn't of possibly thought of that!). The cures for this is either, get a splint (Get a stick and string and slam them into the crafting bench.) or making a crunch (Wood planks cover the top, 2 sticks on the sides, and 1 stick on the bottom middle (If you didn't know, this is the crafting recipe). There is also another thing to breaking you leg/s. If you walk around without a crutch (this also gets more worse without a splint) you start to become slower. Eventually, you won't be able to walk, unless, you get the potion of regeneration, which cures every single debuff. I don't want to write a second paragraph just for arms, so it's just like this, but arms.

This is waaaay too complicated for simple ol' minecraft. Just keep it simple. Not to mention, this would be hella annoying.

Ok onto the next thing you can break. You torso. If you break you torso you walk slower because of virtual pain. Also, it reduces you health until you get healed. (This acts like slow poison where you can't die directly from it).

How do you do that? And again, very, very annoying. And pointless. This adds nothing to the game but realism.

The last thing you can break is your head. If you break your head you die. That's it. No more. Nada. Nien.

Again, how do you do this?

Ok, onto the next injury section. These are combat wounds!

I'm just gonna go out on a limb and guess that everything on is a pointless as it has been.

The first injury you can get is getting shot (stabbed) in the leg. (This would give an achievement saying "I used to be an adventurer like you.") This like breaking your leg slows you down. The ways you can cure this is getting some sheep wool and string and smashing them together in the crafting bench. This produces bandages which you equip.

    Yep.

    Same thing with arms.

Next you can get shot (or stabbed) in the chest. If the arrows (or your friend's sword) doesn't him in a vital spot, you just get a bandage and equip it. If it does well, your gonna die (unless you have armor). You can cure this with a regen potion though.

I was right. Also, vital spots? That seems awfully complicated.

Getting hit (or shot) in the head is death. No way around it. Unless you have good armor.

Well this is my longest post ever, if you don't like it, tell me why please!

Overall, it seems pointless. It adds realism, but realism isn't always good. To paraphrase the suggestion guide, realism is a neutral property, not good or bad. It can sometimes add something good to a good suggestion, but it alone doesn't make a suggestion good.
Realism isn't a sole reason to add a suggestion. This is nothing but realism. Well, realism and annoying-ness. It's pointless. Besides, you say this is a "new" injury suggestions, and you'll "make us like it". But this seems like basically every other injury suggestion. If you want something like this, I'm sure there are mods out there.
    No support.

    Quote from Lord_of_Night»

look, all i can say is that if mojang planned to do this (Which i'm sure that were they began to go with the "steve" mob) then why not bring him back? and, for mobs building structures? its an awsome idea, i think it would be cool to have humans in your world and an easy soulution for this would be to make the chance for a human spawning Rare, like a 1 in 25 chance for a human to spawn in a village and then wonder off in search for a better life, mine, build, farm.

I can see you at least put a lot of time into writing this thing. But still, no support. Like others have said, it wold be laggy, hard to code, and just plain annoying. Also, the fact that it used to be in the game is irrelevant. Yeah, it used to be in the game. That means it was taken out for a reason.
Also, not hating here, but I'm going to give you some tips on some stuff you did wrong to help you in the future.
Don't praise you're own idea. The fact that you posted it means you like it. We know what. At this point, your opinion on it is irrelevant.
Making something rare doesn't make it a good idea. Something being rare isn't bad, but it doesn't automatically make it good.
In the title, just vie the name of the suggestion. Don't make it a click bait by not giving us any information on the idea.
Give more info. I realize you were rushed, but then just wait. Having a half-assed idea isn't going to make us like it. Take some time, give us detail, and make us like it. Stats, spawn rates, and any info that we'd need.

    Quote from Lord_of_Night»

and your link has what to do with my post?

    AI is far too complex?

    all
i have to say is you most certainly dont code, go learn to code, try to
code it, then tell me its too complex, because we are living in the
21st century not the 13th century untill i am PROVEN it cannot be done,
    nothing will tell me otherwise.

(no reply will be given, until someone prooves me wrong)

im not saying i am right, i can be wrong, i might be wrong now, i'm human. good day.

The link is to a guide on how to make suggestions, made by some of the best suggestion makers and critics on here. It's worth a read.

Also, prove it to you? Almost everyone, some of whom most definitely code, are telling you it's not possible. Is that not proof enough? The fact is that, while this AI is not impossible, it is very complicated. It would be very hard to do for a AAA game, let along Mojang with java. And all that work, to make a pointless, griefing mob that a lot of people would dislike. Besides, you're pretty much saying, that you make a suggestion that isn't possible, but then we have to prove it isn't possible. Why don't you prove that it is? What about the other arguments, too? You just ignoring those?

    Quote from 7367minecraft»

I'll never ever support this, it's way too OP, it's cheating, it will break the game.

    NO SUPPORT AT ALL

I agree with the feeling you're trying to convey, but you're kinda over exaggerating. It won't be game breaking. You can only use it when you have commands, so it doesn't break multiplayer, and you don't have to use it in survival.
I do think that it's good for options and game customization, which is important in a game like minecraft. However, like Shaddura said, you're asking to make something easier so it doesn't have to be easy. That makes no sense. If you want to build, build. If you want to survive, survive. But it seems like a bad idea to mix them, and will take away from each. You don't have the pride of having a pure, survival built world. But since resources are limited, you won't be able to make awesome builds like in creative. It mixes two things that takes away from each.
    No support.

    Quote from FirEmerald»

The funny thing is, all you people saying "it's too op" aren't realizing there used to be a command that did this exactly.

Yes, they did add it. However, what you seem to not realize is that they removed it.
And they removed it for a reason. I think the fact that it used to be
in the game, and no longer is, is a great reason not to add it again.

    Quote from Eldramatico»

It's not placing a ceiling it's building a flat wall over every peasant you want to make a shop with, and it's not a personal issue when everyone's projects burn because of it and you can't have a single safe store without having constantly to remake all your peasants making nothing possible if you want to build a village except if you want to make an absurd platform over every villager you want to keep or don't care at all about keeping your trades. 1/100 000 means sooner or later every unsafe villager will die out of lightning. What is the point in creating things in minecraft? It's to make something that's beautiful that you're gonna like or be proud of. Then what if you have to twist everything you build to protect against lightning? And you can't use blocks that are flammable unless building plates over them that are really noticeable and absurd by themselves? I'm not the only one who thinks this wastes some of the game, and I don't know who's really happy of lightning's automatic destruction in a game when you get to create things that takes time and efforts.

Dude, calm down. The chance of something completely burning down because of lightning is near impossible. I'm also kind of confused about the suggestion. What exactly are you asking?
