Hello I recently got a new computer (windows not mac like my old one) and downloaded Minecraft to play it. Everything was fine and forge loaded but when I try to play it loads and then stops letting me load it and gives me this error message:
Failed to download file, the file contents differ from what was expected.
Name: jopt-simple-4.6.jar
URL: https://libraries.minecraft.net/net/sf/jopt-simple/jopt-simple/4.6/jopt-simple-4.6.jar
Filename on disk: jopt-simple-4.6.jar
Path: C:\Users\wyatt\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\libraries\net\sf\jopt-simple\jopt-simple\4.6\jopt-simple-4.6.jar
Exists: File
So I go into the files and I found the jopt-simple-4.6.jar
- I removed it by dragging to desktop and tried again but it happened again and gave the same error message, further inspection back into the folder led to me finding it had made another copy of itself. SO I removed it again and then went as far as deleting the 4.6 folder that it was in itself. and yet again it didn't work. Please help '-'
