Not me, i prefer the 50/50 text based role play in the server
All of Deniviere's servers died on me after a few months, I finally gave up and moved onto designing worlds. I actually just started a text-based roleplay half an hour ago! http://w11.zetaboard.../8292294/1/
I do text-based roleplays. Most of them are on this site called Pokefarm, and about half of the ones I'm currently in are now either dead or inactive. Oh well. XD
Well I just started one over at my friends forum, you should check it out. I kinda evolved from MC roleplays, not enough customization and development. Good experience though, but last time I was on Assassin's Creep the server shut down for months. Anyway, check it out. Halloween. Kansas. Witches. Demon invasion.
Role-Play Exp.: I've been on Fallout: War Never Changes, then the fallout server after that. Then Skyrim: Age of War.
Then Skyrim: Solsteim Something (I forget actual name, it was hosted by Insane and Deni). Then both Gazamo's, this server twice,
various offshoots of this such as Clan Wars hosted by Aiden (a previous mod on this server) on the Hunger Games by EMG (another mod of this).
I write, worldbuild, create and administrate text-based roleplays, etc.
Why Us: Haven't been on here in a while. Wanna see what it's like, and I also would like a nice RP AC MC game.
It's been a while since I last did this, but last time it was great. Then again, that was different times.

"Yes. Yes, others but they are also like that one. People getting thrown in the tunnels and dying in there."
"The tunnels under this city are dangerous. People might get pushed in and lost, starve like rats and die of thirst."
"Y--es sir. Yes they might."
"Would you want to starve like a rat Gilamero?"
"...no sir. No I would not like that."
"I don't think I'd like that either. That would mean I'd have to get another man to pour this into Niccóta's drink."
"What?"
"You heard me. If someome would push you into a tunnel then I'd have to get another man to pour this into Niccóta's drink. Put that isn't going to happen, is it? 'Cause you're not going to be pushed down a well. And because you won't you'll have the perfect oppurtunity to pour this into his drink."

"Good that you understand. But--if you don't pour, someone might just starve. Like. A. Rat."

Backstory (1-2 LONG paragraphs):
Benedetto Ortono was the child of a Turkish merchant king. Born and raised on the seas and coasts of Lycia, Benedetto was taught the way of the waters and trade not by his father but by a series of sailor mentors, each one introducing a new element on each trip. Some were scoundrels and killers, one even tried to pull a knife on Ben, but others were nice and willing to teach. Ben was distant from both of his parents. His Greek mother was always on the lands, living in the port city of Sansindos. Ben and his father's ships rarely docked there and never when they did Benedetto never saw his mother. She was distant and more of an etherial ghost of his fathers past. A constant reminder that once his father made love with a rich maiden and never had time to leave her. He was too busy delivering silks or blown glass. Eventually Benedetto was made and his father distanced himself from her, knowing she had no other use. She had given him pleasure and a son, he wanted nothing else from her. Benedetto traveled the Mediterranean, mostly to Turkey, Greece, and Morocco. As he grew up his father put him in higher positions of power, such as negotiating trades and transporting goods. Once Ben found his skill and love for debating and negotiating, he stopped sailing and acted as a inland master of words, negotiating trades for his father. His father hated him for this, saying he needed no parrot to squawk what his father had already said. He needed a lion to rule help him rule the seas, trading with others. He needed him next to saltwater. Benedetto refused and was promptly disowned. His father disobeyed any of his ships, and many others from associates of his, to transport his son anywhere. Benedetto happened to be stuck at the last place he had docked for a trade. Italy.

What is Metagaming? Acting out-of-character or using outside information that your character didn't get in a RP scenario.
What is Powergaming? God-modding a character to know all, have all abilites, pretty much be overpowered and usually unbeatable. Cheating.
What is Assassin's Creed? Ubisoft-developed third person parkour-based sandbox game series.
Sorry, I do remember you but barely (no offense). I looked on Denivire's newest indevor, I know everyone on their mod list. No one here that's on the list of mods/admins I know. So much has changed. Is this server still going? I expect all servers like this to go for a month or three and die. They all do.
This is stillgoing? I was accepted near page 150-ish. I was friends with GrayeWolf, Aiden, Sb, Denivire. I watch the servers rise and fall. Ranks come and go, the oceans retreat and return. Does anyone still remember me? Has the RP generation passed? It's been a while.

New Life is you can't take revenge after death or go after whoever killed you. A clean slate when you die.
Meta-gaming is using outside non-RP influences in RP. This includes using Global non-RP text, calling out someone's name when you never heard it (or IGN for that matter)
Power-gaming is having an unfairly crafted charecters, with huge amounts of benifits and playing so you always win. It's a cheap way to play that some people use, usually saying "I haz p0wer armur so you can't kill me but I can tots KoS you cause I'm cool and can fly."

-I don’t know who hired me! I’ve been working as a collector for my father’s three estates. He knows and talked to whoever set me up for this, not me. He just said this would be good for the both of us and sent me on the first flight to this city. I had no more part in this as a child does in packing his lunch.
-Do you know what my mantra is? Listen, restore, rest. That’s it Bent. This may be an exception, but beside the point. This argument has gotten no one anywhere. Just add a few more pins to the philtrum.
-Oh c’mon! I’ll give you a free call to my dad. We can stop by a picture phone booth on our way to our respective houses and you can make a short call. Deal?

I bet your father has at one point. All the grand people visit and try to obtain their inner soul, or whatever overpriced spiritual package you’ve bought to get flown over there. I had real confidence in those monks, though looking back I can see they’re a fraud. But out of all the **** things the monks did, one experience I did love.

-One week after I came to the shrines of the Telon Fras they offered me a third of my money back. The spiritual package I bought was ridiculously expensive, thousands of credits on top of tickets to get there. Even though I wasn’t feeling or seeing any changes in my inner self, I declined the offer. Then two weeks later they proposed to give me half of my money back. Finally after four weeks it was all my money back and airfare as well. The whole thing was to show real perseverance, and that--uh--spiritual guidance is better than all the wealth in the world. I didn’t like that part, but I did enjoy the whole exercise and sense of pressing on. Money, or a call to the Shark himself, cannot buy out a man pressed on accomplishing or denying something.
-What did you accomplish?
-Well I went to the Distant West Islands to overcome my fears I’ve had since I was young. Here, can you help lift this bucket?
-Sure. What’s in here?
-Pig’s blood. Anyway, I’ve had the fear of closed spaces and the fear of open spaces since I was six. The fear of making new connections with people came two years later. The Telon Fras said they were going to help me overcome them in a multitude of ways. The Eighteen Eyes connection, deep meditation techniques, other stuff. None worked, Bent. But I came back to the city feeling liberated and full of power and worth. I met a girl on my first night back.
-And?
-Her name was Jane, and she always smelled like the flowers that bloom in the city gardens during the summer months. A day after I met her she was married and impregnated. Four years later though, we separated. Laurel, my daughter, choked to death at three. We took grief in different ways, and soon after we left each other. The Eighteen Eyes method was a skill the monks taught that was supposed to detect bad presences. Not only did sensors not go off the moment Laurel ate the first piece of caramel corn, but all the other Telon Fras methods failed. In my sorrow and anguish the all-too-common fears reached their arms out and hugged me for the first time in years. Fears of darkness, closed spaces, flying, snakes, and love just pulled me down and…sorry. I really shouldn’t be spilling this all out to you. I’m just rambling on, aren’t I?
Character biography, (must be at least 1 paragraph): Comstock grew up in a middle class family in the seemingly utopian city of Matchitan, in the destroyed ashes of New England. Driven by Old World tech, the city was held to be full of life, resources, and oppurtunity. The Commonwealth controlled it. Comstock worked as a museum restorer, helping polish the old music discs and jewels. The Commonwealth once asked him to create a false idol and show it at the museum, convincing the public that the Land Beyond the Walls was full of savages and cults. Comstock was able to travel to the remains of an island in the Ring of Fire, occupied by the monk group the Telon Fras. What happened there and after is revealed in my RP Example. Comstock returned to Matchitan, only to be pulled off to Arizona for work-related reasons with the NCR. He begins farming there and tries to survive, despite all his fears and troubles.
