Indeed. Thank you for patience with me. I never knew about obfuscation, but I've never fiddled with making my own mods either.
    I can wait.

    +1 for mod support ^^

Just curious, but why doesn't this work with 1.7.3, 1.7.4, or 1.7.5? From what I can tell (from the update notes) those versions didn't actually add anything to the game, just render bugfixes & realms support. It seems like it would be a small matter to update this mod considering Minecraft is essentially the same thing now that it was in 1.7.2. I may look at the script for the mod and see if I can make it work, but I'm no coding guru, so if you could tell me where to start, that'd be much appreciated.

Also, semi-related question. Since nothing really changed, could I take a 1.7.4 world and demote it to 1.7.2 without any adverse effects if it so happens that I'm a chimpanzee at coding and am unable to update the mod myself?

posted a message on Seed Algorithm
I've seen discussion on whether or not the seed algorithm is actually random, I've seen people question how a seed can become a map, I've even seen people wonder if knowing the seed algorithm would grant them immense control over their world. I've never seen anyone ask "how does minecraft get these seeds?" So that's my question: How does minecraft get these seeds?

I know it does some crazy shenanigans to the system clock and that gives you a seed, but I can't find a pattern between my system clock and any seed I get. What does minecraft's seed algorithm do to turn a system clock value into a seed?

I want to know because I want to acquire a list of seeds that vanilla minecraft would produce naturally using its own random seed algorithm. The only way I know of right now to get such a list is to make a new world, check & record its seed, delete the new world, rinse and repeat. This would take a very long time, especially considering I need a very long list for my various statistical tests.

One of my statistical tests involves finding the liklihood that a mushroom island biome spawns within 10,000 blocks of the circumcenter of the triangle formed by the three strongholds in any given world. Of course, statistical anaylsis requires a large enough sample to make accurate judgements about the population, so I need a fairly large list of seeds.

    Any help?
