Glad this is Mac-native and Mac-only. It's annoying to get something that's "for Mac" but uses Java or Python or makes you compile it then gives you a really bad interface in the end.

This is great except that it doesn't show you the coordinates of where you're looking. The ability to see the coordinates would be very useful.

Nice app, dude. It's funny how you made it Mac-only. Windows is for suckers.

I couldn't make it for Windows since this is Objective-C unless I convert all the code. I don't feel like doing that.

    Quote from joefoe3579

You can use MC-edit to accomplish such a feat, just copy and paste the parts you need saved small chunks and fit them all together, doing this will avoid crashing (should avoid crashing). And I hope this helps. :)

If I want to do the whole thing, that's going to be one heck of a cutting/pasting job :o

Here is the update on what happened: It finished copying over. Long story short, MCEdit was causing my GPU to slow down a lot due to (maybe) a glitch, but it wasn't a real problem. I saved. "Lighting chunks" came up, and it was going to take 89 days and was climbing. I've heard stories about this taking a very long time just for a few chunks. I thought it wasn't very important and force quit it because I considered it not worth the wait, thinking that maybe I'd still get a working map.

In the end, the map came out corrupted and unusable, so I'm going to just copy over the essential parts of the old map. I'll take a somewhat large area around the spawn and each city/town individually instead of copying the whole thing. My conclusion is that MCEdit is not suitable for huge, HUGE terrain copies.

    LogInvestigator

I made a little program that parses the server.log file to find out who was online at a specified time based on who logged in or out before that. When doing investigations and such, I often need to see who was online when something happened, and scrolling through the log is annoying to do. This does it for you.

Select the server.log file, enter the line number in the log that you want to look at, and it tells you who was online when that message printed. For example, "Kelsoniuss was slain by Spider" is in the log. You get the line number of that message and put it in to see who was online when he died.

    Current version:
    1.0 alpha Dropbox Download
Notes: Be careful because alpha and beta versions are not thoroughly tested. Bug discovered: duplicate players appear in output in some cases, but none are missing.

Built and tested in OS X 10.8.4 "Mountain Lion", targeted for 10.7 "Lion" or later, compatibility with older OSs unknown. Not signed with a developer ID, so you'll have to ignore Gatekeeper if you have it enabled.

    Other info:

I was going to try and let the user specify a date/time instead of a line number if he were to want to do that, but I was having issues with the NSDateFormatter and dropped it for now. Maybe later. This project comes second to the main thing I am programming in Xcode and was made half because I wanted it and half because it was a learning/practice project.

Not going well. I've been gone for the past 5 days, and my cousin didn't know what to do other than only taking parts of the old map and bringing them over, which I'm going to try if this fails again. I'm trying to import the world file instead of a schematic, which I didn't know you could do before, so I'll see if that works. "3 days, 9 hours" remaining and increasing.

Update since I don't want to bump again: I think it's going to take 3 days 12 hours since it's hovering around that at this point. That's a lot better than the 12 days that kept increasing that it was giving me before.

MCEdit or WorldEdit has some kind of bug. If you export a really big schematic in MCEdit then try to use it in WorldEdit, it can't detect the schematic format and won't work. It works with smaller schematics. Pasting the schematic in MCEdit is going to take 7 days supposedly, and even if I'm willing to do that, I can't do it now due to circumstances, so I'll wait. I might be forced to use the plugin, which I've decided is second in priority for various reasons, mainly because my server is not always running Bukkit and is supposed to be basically vanilla and because I prefer not to be at the mercy of Bukkit and the plugin updating quickly every time.

My friend is coming back soon from a trip and claims that he knows exactly how to merge worlds and will do it once he gets back. I hope he's right :/

Honestly it will be million time easier and safer to just load the world with Multiverse.
    Download it here - http://ci.onarandomb...ultiverse-Core/

Been using it for a year without issues to manage my worlds, it is better than Multi-World in my opinion.

Thanks, but I'm going to go through with the copying. I don't like having to rely on complex plugins. I think the copying in MCEdit is going to work, and I've already left it running for a long time.

Update in case anyone is interested:

It took hours and made MCEdit hang numerous times, but it finally exported the 1.53GB schematic :o
Now, I'm trying to import it into the new world. It'll take a while again. My fingers are crossed.

posted a message on [Bukkit Plugin] IPMaster: IP-Ban offline players, log player addresses, check for shared addresses, and more!
Since I have a plugin that I've put on BukkitDev, I thought I should also put it here. It's currently in beta and was largely problem-free until I recently noticed a nasty bug with the player log data. I've fixed it in v1.0.3 beta, but they haven't accepted the file yet as of July 28, 2013. I'm planning to keep this updated for the time being and use it on my own server.

Allows the console and ops to do these things automatically with only one command:
    - Ban a player's IP address while he is offline!... either by the last address used, next address used, or even all future addresses.
    - Check for IP bans associated with a certain player.
    - List every address ever used by a player.
    - Ban all IP addresses ever used by a specified player.
    - Unban all IP addresses a player has been banned under.
    - Check for, ban, and unban IP addresses shared by players.

Most of these commands have a "unique" option where the command only takes effect on addresses unique to that player. For example, unbanning all addresses banned for a player with the "unique" option will only unban addresses that nobody else has been banned under.

GREAT! Ok so another option is to use Multiverse or Multiverse 2 plugin. I suggest Multiverse 2 (https://forums.bukki...bukkitdev.3707/), but it may have a few little bugs. So when you install that you can create a a second world by turnning the old world file into the second world. Then you can set up a portal using the plugin and travel between the two worlds. So it will almost be like going to the nether but you go to the old server world. Here is a helpful video on how to turn the old world file into a Multiverse world on your server.

Thanks for the plugin link. I'll consider it for now, but this plugin also needs to be updated to 1.6 to be useable. There's something similar called MultiWorld that works in 1.6, according to someone on Bukkitdev. However, I would rather not have to rely on a plugin to set up this kind of system because it can make updates potentially more difficult, and I may use vanilla in the future if Bukkit takes a long time to update to a certain version for some reason. I'll definitely try and use this if the current MCEdit task doesn't work. The ETA has decreased rapidly to 17 hours and seems to be moving down more.

    Does your server run Bukket?

Yes, well actually Bukkit. It's a lot better than a vanilla server even if you're not using any plugins, and I'm hardly using any.

    Im sorry. :(
I guess you can try to find some other way of doing it, but i think thats the best way. May I ask what your are copying chunks for?

I play on a private server that started in 1.7b and am the host of it, and when 1.3r came out, everyone agreed that we should store the old map away and start a new one. So now there are two world folders. We now want to get the old map and put it back with the new one in the same world folder and make there be a second spawn so we can visit the old map easily. This old map was really developed and had a lot of players who were really addicted to Minecraft (not that I was), so it had a ton of explored chunks and had a lot of awesome creations on it as well as stashes of valuables.

I'm trying again, this time exporting a schematic instead of simply copying. The ETA still doesn't look good (1 day), but it hasn't crashed so far, and the ETA might go down.

Holy cow MCEdit is lagging hard trying to do this. I'm actually not sure if I can select all of the chunks at once, but I can get the ones I want anyway.

EDIT: Copying about 160 billion blocks, time left 5 days -_-
    EDIT 2: It crashed.

Can you not select the chunks in chunk view then go back to 3D and save it as a schematic?

Yeah, I now think that you can. I edited my post after you replied to it. I'm waiting on the world folder to copy and will try it once it's done.
