What is community to you?: Ive always wanted a server with a bigger story than just me, and I can also take a real part in. I want friends. I want enemies. I want battles. I want businesses. I want people coming together for a common cause. I want a story, not just about me, but about us. I never really feel part of that in a pure roleplay server, more like im an isolated character reading a book. I want my choices and everyone else's choices to have real impacts.
What is fun to you?: Kinda just said it. I like in - game politics that aren't babied by rules or plans too much. and I love making friends.
Don't get me wrong, I will absolutely follow server rules. I just have always wanted a chance to have a real story that rules don't hinder. for instance, in the factions plugin the claim system is lame. making it almost impossible to punish someone for poorly built protection is unfair, and incentivizes poorly built bases.
ultimately what I mean is I don't want the rules to hinder faction wars and such. I don't want the game's system to play the game for me.
I hope that doesn't sound "insubordinate" or something, I don't mean it to. I would love to talk more and discuss the game with you and (of course respectfully) bounce ideas off you.
Really wanting a good apocalypse server. Like the Monster Apocalypse plugin would be ideal, but just something that is survival and mobs can break blocks. Anyone know of any servers with this still up?

It seems anymore all I can think is what the hell?
The man holds out his hand and I stare at it, still adrenalized. Why am I not dead?
Now, I know today I have on many occasions told myself I had nothing better to do, so I might as well. But wouldn't just about anything make more sense then working with the guy who just tried to kill you?
But again, I didn't have anything better to do. What the hell.
I took his hand and he pulled me up. I brushed myself off, and then asked "What is our predicament?"
((....Really? You go and do that 10 minutes before I post? And it hasn't even been a day? Rude ))
James POV
I stood, still trying to buy time. Before I could react, however, the man flashes forward with incredible speed and, to my shock, firmly grabs the blade and rips it from my hands.
H...how? I thought. As I stood stunned, in just the briefest moment, the man delivered a firm punch to my stomach, nearly knocking the wind out of me.
I recoiled hard, and as I looked up the blade of the sword reached its original length and found its way to my throat.
I winced in pain as the point prodded at my neck.
I have to move fast, or I'm going to die. I thought. It was all the motivation I needed.
I mustered up enough energy to ripple straight through him. Not enough to fully vanish again, but enough to fanish through him, take him off guard and get behind him.
I turned around quickly to face his back and as I did so, I unsheathed my knife ((yes, I am still armed. Check my application if you want)) and agilely grabbed him by the neck, holding the blade tightly to his neck.
"Drop the sword Now!" I yelled furiously.
((Can I haz sword? If he is supposed to have the sword, then I won't keep trying if you say so. I don't want to mess up the story.))
((Commando I'm not holding a dagger, I'm holding the sword.))

I hold my stance for a second, evaluating my next move. However I do jump backwards as the man throws the ball of fire and creates a flame barrier between us. It seemed to be dissipating, but I took it as valuable time to evaluate the situation and my options.
My ability could be useful here. I thought. I could feel the essence regenerating, but I knew I still wasn't ready to vanish again.
I just need to hold him off for a little bit longer. I thought.
The flame wall dissipated, and with that I head a mighty laugh. "Your friend doesn't even know what he's holding. Look at his stance; this isn't a knifefight, pal. You're out of your league." The man taunts.
Nonetheless I hold my ground. "Funny you should mention the way I use my weapon, seeing as your too much of a coward to use one yourself and fight like a man."
