    Hey there.

I got myself the Coral Reef Mod and I like it a lot. Really looks beautiful and definitely adds to the game. :smile.gif:

However, I think there are a little too many. Pretty much all space that coral reefs could occupy, are occupied. Makes them a little less special than they are and also most likely causes quite some framerate decrease for many. Would it be possible to either reduce their appearance probability or include an option to do so? :smile.gif:

Actually, would it be possible to restrict it to biomes?

Is there any alghoritm that removes all trees from deserts? No matter what I set in .ini file there aren't any (but few dirt blocks are). I also used INVEdit to get few saplings - I planted them and after one MC day (or less) they disappeared. Same with using bonemeal, instead of instagrowing they're instadisappearing. Any help with this would be nice.

There's a problem with the biometrees - do you have them enabled? That might be the cause.

Ah, so "notchponds" refers not only to those filled with lava? Good to know. :smile.gif:

Strangely enough I still have pools with water in my deserts. Hm.

I'll try setting it to false for now, thanks. :smile.gif:

Two things. First: there is an oddity with deserts at a coast, specifically with weird sand distribution. Best explained through a screenshot:

Secondly, I've often got clouds going though mountains which looks pretty stupid. I've tried incresing the cloud heights but I haven't seen any difference when increasing it. Could it be that it hits some kind of height limit?

    Hi,

I've gotten myself CrystalClearWater and the thing is that I'm not 100% sure it works correctly:

When I'm above the surface of the water it works beautifully. I can see the ground of the water body without problems. However, as soon as I dive the opacity / view distance restriction kicks in and I can again barely see anything.
Is CrystalClearWaters supposed to change the latter to better visibility as well? Also, if that is not the case, is there a mod that increases the visibility / is there a way I can adjust that myself?

    Thanks in advance. :smile.gif:

I've found the texture used when the player is under water (water.png in folder misc) and made it more transparent which, however, has only partially helped me. Apparently it doesn't do much more than tinting the screen in the colour of that texture - the view distance is controlled elsewhere. Is that view distance under water something that could be changed?

    hiho,

I started playing around with this mod just today and have not tested all settings intensively yet. What I'd like to know is if there's a way to generate larger bodies of land / water. It is easy to generate either by setting the water level or the average height of the terrain but I haven't figured a way out to achieve both at the same time. Any help on this, pretty please? :smile.gif:

These settings generate my dream landscape, lots of land, lots of water, lots of flat, lots of cliffs, lots of everything, sounds like what you're looking for, so long as you want it realistic looking.

    <Terrain Mod - Terrain Variables>
    waterLevel:64
    maxAverageHeight:0.5
    maxAverageDepth:0.4
    fractureHorizontal:-2.5
    fractureVertical:-3
    volatility1:0.5
    volatility2:0
    volatilityWeight1:0.5
    volatilityWeight2:0.5

Thanks! I'm now trying settings in those directions. :smile.gif:

btw. is there a way to let minecraft generate a much larger area without me having to walk around to "map" it?
It's cool when you're playing but atm I'm just testing out settings and I require more of the map to see whether I like the new settings or not. :/
