    The Red Forge was originally created to be an adventure server. I need builders, with ideas. We are based in Australia.

    We currently run RedPower2 bukkit server with Towny, Worldguard and Worldedit, PhysicalShop, RepairChest, SimpleChestLock, Treeassist (only for replanting). I also have setup multiverse core, inventories and signs.

    I also wish to run a "vanilla" survival minecraft world which is not yet setup.

    If you are interested please pop along to http://kook.dyndns.info to download the files to get on! This is a temporary location and may be moving in the near future.

    posted a message on trying to automatically give item at first spawn on server
    Hi,

    I am looking for a way to give new players some gold ingots when they join the server. So they can go and buy things.

    Is there a plugin or soem sort of way to achieve this, besides me having to be on all the time so i can type /give player blah blah?

    Have you come across a plugin that does that? A name would be very handy.

    In my spawn location I would like to put a cake that either regenerates or is just plain unlimited. I haven't found a mod or a property using the search feature. Perhaps I am using the wrong terms?

    Anyone done this or know how to go about this?

    Thanks very much. Sounds a bit more involved then I really wanted but I guess I can give it a shot. Do you know, or can you say that if I only use Worldguard to set this up, will the rest of my world be the same as it currently is with the Towny plugin or any other of the plugins I run?

    I have got the spawn area setup, thanks very much. It wasn't so hard after all.
    I did try to get the modloader setup on Bukkit. I am guessing you can't as I couldn't. I wanted the wecui mod so I could see what i was doing. Could/ do I add that to my local minecraft.jar?

    Hi,

    I have been searching and have not yet found an answer, so I hope someone has done this.

    I have changed a spawn point to inside a building. I have not put it in the center of the building. I have set a spawn protection radius in bukkit to cover the building but because it is not in the center the protection spreads for some time out of the building on two sides.

    Is there a mod or setting i can change so to have spawn protection from e.g. x42 - x66 and z42 - z66 and spawn point at x65 z65?

    Hope this makes sense.

    sorry, to clarify what I meant with the level 16 question. I thought you said that your tool starts building at level 16. I thought then we could use your tool to create the caves and what not by building layer upon layer.

    To be honest I've been trying to avoid it. I have an addictive personallity which means that hours, days and weeks could be spent, and possibly, would be spent in design etc. Unfortunately, due to my lack of artistic ability it would still look bad.

    I just hopped on board with the idea. I am pretty good with ideas.

    so, can you control the size or shape of chunks? Will the current version have water and lava spawn on the surface as it is marked as unpopulated? If so, will this change the layout and features of the landscape that we create?

    If you start building at level 16 can we already just build our own caverns and water and lava caves. all that would be needed then is the ability to add ore blocks. Though I personally would prefer randomised ore placement.

    If you can control chunk size and shape can we then have the chunks as the top layers we create and unpopulated beneath it?

    I think you have made an awesome tool and I hope that you keep developing and making this better. I can imagine some of the masterpiece landscapes and worlds that people will develop.

    so can you have it mark the layer below as unpopulated so that MC will just auto generate stuff, until you extend your editor to cover dungeons etc?
    Or, have an option to either auto generate subterrainian levels or create your own?

    I understand that this only creates the layer that we can see. What happens when you mine down? does MC generate caverns and ore or will it be sold dirt or stone or something?
