Is there any chance that this mod is going to come out on bukkit eventually maybe? If so people could use it on servers:) It would make the subways a whole lot cooler.
I figured out what it is:D I looked in the activity monitor again and there was about maybe 20 avgcmgr and once i quit out of them my computer was back to normal. I think it is kind of odd though that avg which is supposed to block virus thus speeding up your computer was making my computer slower:/
No I'm not using optifine but my mine craft was working fine without it before and it doesn't seem to matter what settings I'm on like normal and tiny render distance are just as laggy and i don't think it is a virus cause viruses don't slowly make you mine craft worse and restart every time you restart your computer.
Thats the thing that I don't get though. My mine craft is getting around 1-5 fps in multiplayer and single player so i have no idea what could cause both to do that. Thanks for the advise though.
Ya the dust in my computer was the problem with the overheating. I just got dust off and opened my computer and sprayed out all the dust and now my comp is not getting that hot anymore but my mine craft is still lagging:/
I just woke up my comp and after about 5 minutes i checked the cpu temp and it is at around 87. That i dont think is a normal temp and is it supposed to get that high before the fan gets to around 6000rpm?
Ok so the fan is in the 6000rpms and the cpu is still at 85, is that bad?

I have istat pro so I can see the temp of my cpu and it is at around 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Is that a normal temp for a cpu or is that hot? Also when I'm playing mine craft my fan goes up to about 6000rpm is that high to or normal for a laptop?
before the lag started i got around 40 fps and i do have a cooling pad for my laptop but it doesn't have a fan or anything. I just played mine craft again and it is worse now:/ now I'm only getting around 5 fps:/
Just recently my 2010 macbook pro started to lag playing mine craft. When ever I play mine craft now it is very jolty and I'm only getting around 10 fps. I tried playing mine craft in spout but spout also lags. I then tried to replace my minecraft.jar and it didn't work and i also downgraded to 1.2.3 to see if it worked and that also lagged. The only thing that works to get my mine craft back to normal is restarting my computer but then after a while it just starts lagging once again. Lastly it is not my internet because i can play a hd video fine without buffering.(I have no mods and I'm using default texture pack)

Graphics:Nvidia Geforce 320 M 256 MB

I'm having the same problem I only have mod loader installed and i try and open mine craft and there is a error and it closes. I know I am putting it in right so what is wrong? Is it not for Mac or something?
