    Just want to clarify before this is closed, the Docker image was not bad, the Downloaded copy of it was bad, I thought it check summed them, but I guess this one slipped through, the latest image file is working fine after redownloading.

    nothing is wrong with ITZG.

    newest update: The only thing different that I can think of is that I updated the Docker images with the newest main release from Itzg, which are dated 10 days ago. My plex server is working fine both in the house and remote, externally hosted minecraft servers are working fine, Call of Duty is working fine, the Epic and Steam game stores are letting me in, Uplay is working for Ghost Recon,

    I run private java edition itzg minecraft servers (vanilla servers, I am using optifine on my laptop client only) for my family and a couple of friends. 2 days ago I moved into my new house (same state, different city, only 30 miles away), I just got everything back up and running today and my girls wanted to play minecraft so I got that all setup again (updated docker images and started the containers up). But now when I try to log in to play on my server it fails after Encrypting with the message Authentication Servers are Down. (It does NOT say down for maint, just down).

    I have swapped out cable modems, setup the exact same way (same router and modem as the old house), I have logged on to every minecraft account used in my house on minecraft.net and setup security questions on account.mojang.com for all the accounts (3 total, 1 for me and 1 for each of my daughters), I've rebooted the server, the laptops, the routers and so on. I've been working on it for the last 7 hours before I finally got everything set back up how it was in the old house hoping that would fix it.

    Google searching continues to give me posts by people that are told to stop cheating and to change their passwords and uninstall garbage apps and run malware checks. This does not apply to my situation. Other search results are always about the maint and to just wait till it is done, but I am not getting the maint error.

    The client logs only show "connecting to server [local ip and port]" over and over then it says exiting.

    all three devices tested are using Linux Mint, 2 of them are on Mint 19 and 1 is Mint 20.

    I recalled seeing a post somewhere that there was a security feature on the accounts that prevented the same account from being used in a different location from the last log in location, which is why I logged in to both minecraft.net and accounts.mojang.com with all 3 accounts and setup security questions, but none of the account can connect to a server still. (one laptop had to download an updated launcher, but the other two did not, results are the same on any of the devices with any of the accounts)

    update: ok, so I tried logging in from my Windows 10 computer and it also fails, same error. (I thought it might be open JDK, but it was working last week with it and it has not been updated on at least one of the three laptops since then)

    Also, from one of the not working laptops (note every device in my house has the issue, I have not had a chance to log in from another location)

    ===============

    update 2:

    I tried removing openJDK and installing oracle JRE, but this uninstalled minecraft too. when I tried to install minecraft after installing Oracle JRE, it told me that minecraft-launcher required default-jre and it was not going to be installed because it requires openJDK...

    You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.

    default-jre : Depends: openjdk-11-jre but it is not going to be installed
    E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

    ===================================

    Well, finally getting somewhere, I can join a random public server from minecraft-server-list website without any issue.

    guess I will look into my server.properties file to see if something has changed, since I did update my docker image and create a new container.

    --------------------------------------------

    No change when using my public IP to connect to my local servers.

    No idea what to do, I have the same router, direct connected to the server by cable, and the laptops connected via wifi (same config as the last house, the only change should be the incoming line from the same ISP)
