    You are the man!

Luckily I had this thread in my history when someone here pointed out Reika had an old version of forestry api, so I went to 170 forestry and all was well.

I'd hoped v2 of Reika's mods was "fixed" with forestry but it seems v2 won't play nice with any forestry version as removing one or the other solved my crash on startup.

For any other googler's I was getting this error:

    Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: forestry.api.storage.IBackpackDefinition.addValidItems(Ljava/util/List;)V
Removing the forestry folder from the dragonapi.jar file solved the crashing, I'm not familiar with how the two interact any idea of what functionality we've lost between the two?

Again thanks for finding this out.

I love the luggage but have trouble keeping track of him, especially through login/logouts.

I've noted in loaded chunks he remains active even when his owner logs out.

My big problem is him randomly not following, I've had it happen when i teleport using an NEI waypoint, so I just avoid doing that whenever possible.

But it also seems to happen randomly, sometimes it takes me a while to notice he's gone, it would be nice to have a way to summon him back if lost.

Does anyone know a somewhat easy way to locate him in a world? Using nbtexplorer or some other utility?

It would be nice if he snapped to you when you teleport, it would also fit the lore pretty well (Rincewind finds himself in an airplane in another dimension, after a few moments luggage crosses time and space and comes crashing through the fuselage)

My wife's PC had this problem and it's baffling since you don't get any kind of log this early in the launcher process.
I'm in IT so I got out trusty old procmon.exe and ran this on the java.exe process and it showed a lot of accesses to C:\Windows\fonts starting with many fonts starting with A then B, then the process moved on, and the java thread exited.
So I asked my wife did you install fonts recently?
Yeah like a pack of 100 fonts, well checked the font folder those hundred fonts including bold and variations turned out to be 5000 lol
So I sorted by date and removed most of the ones she added recently, and once the font count was in a reasonable number, we restarted the launcher and all was well.

Really hope this helps someone else.
