If you're interested in a long term home and building huge projects in survival mode, i can offer my server. EU based, no pvp, hard difficulty, 20 slots, whitelisted, very close to vanilla gameplay. The big change is, our main world has new custom biomes like savanna. Our biggest project is a 3000x3800 desert city. Everyone on the server is mature and friendly, there's no stealing or grief. We value teamwork, honesty, loyalty.
You can apply in this thread http://www.minecraft...ge-desert-city/ or in our website http://hmcp.enjin.com/
Thanks I'll take a look!
Jun 11, 2013Hey all,Posted in: Server Recruitment
I'm 22 and a bit of a multiplayer noob (my old computer just wasn't fast enough for it) so I'm looking for a small, chill server with some good people to play around on to get the hang of things. Survival or creative I'm a fan of both. Please post!

An elevator with no sticky pistons is possible but you can only get 13 blocks high.
I'll post a short tutorial if you'd like. It uses just 4 pistons, half blocks and fence gates, and of course, redstone.
A quick tutorial would be great!

Very dirty redstone, but eh, the host didn't ask for anything fancy:
Tripwire > RS Latch > Closes the floor;
Stand on the pressure plate > RS Latch > Opens the floor again.
Don't forget that repeater, it draws charge from the redstone wire, otherwise it would of been even more bigger and clunkier.
Nothing special. Just redstone.
I can't quite figure this one out. Does it go up just one floor? I'm not seeing from your pictures how all the components fit together.
Sep 26, 2012Thanks. I'm currently working on a slime farm, but so far its yet to produce anything.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
Sep 25, 2012I'm playing a survival world and would really like to put an elevator in the tower I'm building, but I don't have nearly enough slimeballs to build an elevator the conventional way. Does anybody know of a good way to build an elevator with just regular pistons? I have resources to make PLENTY of those.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
Help is appreciated!
