A lot of people dislike the fact that Blizzard is doing so much for you when you get a scroll of resurrection. I would probably be more pissed if I had played since November 2010, but I haven't, so for me this is just a good way to get slightly caught up.
I plan to keep my current computer functional so I didn't want to completely strip it of parts. The case for the Dimension 3000 isn't a standard size so I think I'd have to heavily modify it if I were to use it.
This adds up to ~$450, if I wait until black Friday hopefully there will be some good deals and I'll pay more like $425. Barring any complications. (E.g. Newegg running out of stock.)
I wasn't necessarily planning on overclocking, buy I suppose I can add on a 212 for the future. I might also get this hard drive to take pity on my current computer's 2x40 gb hard drives. And just leave the 500 gb in here.
I think that instead of using a mATX mobo I'll go with full ATX because space isn't really an issue and expandability is nice. So I was thinking this motherboard because it has AM3 socket and has all the slots I need. I would have to change my case and RAM if I were to use that one though so I would probably go with this case because Cooler Master is good ****. This is compatible RAM. So I would probably use that. Because it is compatible.
I am currently looking to upgrade my old Dimension 3000 to something less... Bad. I was looking at some parts and just wanted some conjecture upon if this is a good build or not. My budget is ~$400. (I realize this is low, however anything I get for $400 will be much better than my current system.) I will primarily be using this system for gaming.
I have some things already. I bought a 500 GB PATA drive a few months ago (I don't need the speed of a SSD nor do I have the budget for it), I have a Sparkle SP94GT1024D2LHP that I've had for a while so video is covered, I can buy a mouse and keyboard from the local PC outlet for $5 each so I don't need to buy a fancy keyboard or solid metal 14-button gaming mouse, and I have a monitor that I could use, though it is a bit old. After a bit I was thinking that I could either upgrade my video card to a PowerColor AX6850 but that would require me to also upgrade the PSU, or I could buy a Acer G235HAbd and not have a 7 year old monitor. Any suggestions you have would be great.
