To answer number 2... it's 256 meters apart and you can have another village that can hold up to 50 more villagers, I have my breeder 300 blocks away from base and transport Tha babies by water and rail back, and got over 400 villagers in my world 300 just in a room for spares plus 100+ more working the land, making iron and trading...
Kind of gives an answers for number four too.
What breeder are you using? I tried one but never seemed to world. Maybe I was too close to extra doors.
Not saying to drop x 360 development, especially if the player base is still there, but surely can't be hard to increase the cap on X1 and leave it lower on X360.
As for the consoles in general, I still prefer them since I play with my family so split screen is a major factor.
They are still putting out updates for the consoles so they must be interested in keeping them going. But why they can't fix the major issues such as the cloud issue that some are having, is beyond me.
And why they can't move on from the X 360 is also beyond me. It's more than past time to move on for X1 versions. Even simple things such as mob caps can't be that difficult to have different between versions.
I am ok with cut off terrain if it means not losing a whole map when a new update is out.
Any way to somehow smooth the terrain? Either way I would love to be able to reset a portion. Either that or major updates are accompanied by a world size increase.
I haven't read any where in this tread about gold.... Gold has an higher enchantablity rating then diamond, so one could easily set the table by placing a gold item be it a pick axe, sword or such in the enchanting table which will set it for higher enchants, then close the enchanting table to remove the gold item and replace it with you're diamond item and the table would have been locked with gold enchant rating for you're diamond sword. Iv nearly always got what I wanted on my second go. And for instance, we'll say you get a crappy bane of anthropology sword, you could always revert this back to a stsndard diamond sword through classic crafting menu if you had another broken item, and place them both in an anvil, it will repair and remove all enchants giving you a new sword to enchant, it's what I do when my efficiency V come too expensive
does this work? I tried with a gold item first, then switched to the same diamond item and it gave a new set of enchantments.
Fence and lighting seems easiest. If a gate is a problem, make a gate that doesn't require opening and closing, just have it so you can run through and the creeper can't follow. Such as carpet over a pit (with last update it seems to fail occasionally) or a slab gate.
Only thing you can do right now is make a periodic copy of your save. Rename it (I use the date). That way if your file becomes corrupt, hopefully you have a recent copy that works.
I have no idea why there is not a better solution yet for these games. The whole cloud idea is a joke when both sides are corrupt.
Agree. I have commented the odd time as well. With a dedicated area already, I have no idea why people keep spamming the other areas. Some are the same person starting a new thread regularly.
Not automatic but the easiest is to have two people. One goes through the portal, the other mines the portal on the over world. Then the player in the nether returns and a new portal in the overworld is generated. Rinse and repeat.

So if I have explored the surface, I may have a chance underground if I can find a mineshafts?

Not a big deal for us since we usually play survival.

How do you get local copies? There is no way to put it on a flash drive.

Sponge can be useful if you have any. Otherwise sand works but it is still annoying to dig it out after.
