posted a message on Special Minecraft version for the merge haters
I was a bit bored and since it seems there are a lot of merge haters here, I noticed there is minecraft coder pack versions for 12w17a (the last snapshot to use real sp) and 12w26a, so I brought over some changes from 12w26a to 12w17a to have an improved release of 12w17a, for the people that planning to play that since it's the last version to use real single player.

So this is what I've done:
    Official Changes:
Fixed water destroying non-solid blocks when breaking them from above.
Fixed The Sound and the Music volume aren't displayed correctly.
Fixed All Wooden Slabs appear as the Oak slab when placed upside down.
    Added Sandstone Stairs.
Villagers spawned from spawning eggs will get a random profession.
Added names for different Wooden planks, Wood, Leaves, Sandstone and Stonebricks.

    Unofficial changes:
Fixed little mistake in Hebrew language.
The version name changed to 12w17b.

Check out what's changed from 1.2.5 to 12w17a here:

    Download the original 12w17a here:

And here's the download link to the "12w17b" patch:

More information and installation instructions in the readme.txt file.
    I'm open for suggestions ;)

posted a message on Singleplayer is Destroyed
So, this is not yet another rant thread, I just wanted to inform you, the ones who didn't play the snapshots or just check them a bit, I played the lastest snapshot (12w25a) which supposed to be one of the last snapshots before 1.3 and I expected the singleplayer in it to be almost as good as the one before the singleplayer multiplayer merging, and it's still awful, many of the well known multiplayer bugs are still in and in singleplayer, it lags and glitch like it never has been in singleplayer, and it's just not as fast and good as it used to be at all, there's a lot of missing stuff and not working so well stuff. The good old Minecraft singleplayer is just destroyed. I think I will play 12w17a as long as singleplayer will turn back to what it used to be (if it will ever happen :\)

What do you think about the singleplayer being a local multiplayer server game in 1.3?

Check this out merge haterz, a special minecraft version for you: ;)

    http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Upcoming_features#Near_future
Best - Villager trading, enchanting rebalanced (although not a big fan of the mining xp and smelting xp), ender chest, singleplayer commands, silk touch ice.
Worst - Singleplayer is a local server, mobs spawn on upside-down halfslabs, mobs can be walked through.

Reason of most bugs: You have a slow computer and you blame mojang because of it.
I play the snapshots and have no problems. If you don't want internet lag, play offline.

Nope, I have a fast computer and I played offline. My fps is similar to before the merging (60+-), although I get more drops and lag, and playing 1.2.5 and then the lastest snapshot I saw many differences and many glitches. So it is that bad and I really doubt singleplayer will ever be as good as it was before the merging. They might fix some stuff but I'm sure 1.3 won't be so different than 12w25a, seeing how many problems in the 1.2 Anvil snapshots was stil in 1.2.3...

    1. It will be fixed over time
    2. It will make things much easier for modders
    3. I don't give a damn about singleplayer

It will be fixed, it will just take a while...

For the multiplayer only players, yeah I guess this would be the best update ever, but the old school singleplayer is destroyed. I think that most old(played since alpha\early beta) legit singleplayer players will hate the update. Because back then multiplayer was a big mess and everyone played singleplayer to enjoy not having any glitches and lag. Now we are forced to have these multiplayer glitches and lag.

posted a message on Do you think 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 was necessary?
    Quote from Snlag

    I'm reading this and seeing:
cats aren't as fun anymore - ok I understand that, makes complete sense
New wooden planks? Annoying - this is where I get lost. You don't have to use the new planks.
Un-enchanting bug - What if your playing survival, and you like the idea of having a choose once and only once idea.
1.2.5 - I host a server and I rejoyced with 1.2.5, why? Because you can log onto a 1.2.5 server with a 1.2.4 jar. Server hosts technically do not have to update. While most do, you have a choice.

It can be annoying cause if you want to make a build with the original planks and have a giant birch tree farm like etho has to get the wood from, all the wood you get now will be the bright ones and it won't fit your project so you'll have to replace your farm with the regular wood, that type of annoyances..

Do you like the additions and changes of 1.2.4 and 1.2.5?

I think that 1.2.4 is the "annoying upate" cause they made cats annoying, now it's not as fun as before to have cats, and the new wooden planks colors are kind of nice idea but I think it wasn't necessary and can cause annoyances, and they fixed some glitches that I liked using like the un-enchanting by breaking storage minecart with enchanted tool in it and the block meta data changer was really cool.

1.2.5 just fixed minor bugs and I think they could've delayed it too the next major update cause it's just annoy people that create mods and servers..

posted a message on [CTM][Collection] Vechs' SUPER HOSTILE Series (Spellbound Caves II out now!)
    Quote from Vechs

It's not an official Super Hostile map. It's a commission project. The "Super Hostile" branding on the website is a typo. As for an official soundtrack, that's something you should ask Andi about. For the most part, I just create what I am told to, creative control is mostly in the hands of the commission client. Although I also do get instructions like "Make this area really nasty" or "Hide this thing here in some way" and the exact execution of those tasks I have control over.

Oh I get it, so it's not really really your map. Okay. I thought you have full control on it...
Looks like I'm going to have to wait for Fallen Kingdoms for a real Super Hostile map ah?
Are you going to at least update one of the maps for 1.2.4+? Or did you already updated one of them?
Thanks for answering btw, I feel like I'm talking to celebrity!
