"best gaming community ever"
"discover what the rest of us already know: that Minecraft is one of the most awesome games ever!"
Oh the elitism, and just when I began to think that those of us that had aged past 13 were better than this. Doesn't the internet have a word for this, "Circle-somethingorother"? But really, this article says that Minecraft being awesome is a fact (opinion, lolwut?), and that those who agree are, or will become, part of the best gaming community in existence, of all time, entirely, end of. Implying that those who don't agree are wrong, while almost directly stating that other gaming communities do not match up to it. Why yes, the community that outright proved that Minecraft alone has little appeal to long-time players without constant expansion such as mods - which are entirely third-party mind you, no official API yet, is there? - or the seemingly endless stream of updates that just create more and more controversy and rifts within the fanbase, is, with no doubt, the best of them all. Not to mention, I'm a part of this community, which automatically takes away a few points. Jokes aside, this article should have practised the act of speaking for oneself, and not stroking the egos of fanboys. At least we now have a reason to keep our ears to the ground given how low the author has sunk.
Don't get me started on Minecraft itself, I could just spout a library's worth of opinionated nonsense about poor design choices, poor management, reliance on the community's mods to add spice to the otherwise bland updates, ridiculous priorities (see above on modding API), etc, so I'll just say this: it's wormed its way onto the Xbox One. Make of that what you will.
If you're so unhappy with Minecraft, why don't you leave the community? You said so many negative things about the Minecraft community, but stated that you were in fact part of that community. -

Emerald ores seem more common?
EDIT: I ran into a bunch within 2 minutes of each other. Didn't come across any more afterwards, so I suppose I just got lucky.
Not really, I was on a cave expedition the other day and found 3 emeralds, while my cousin found 4...in the same cave. I think they are more common... -
Sep 6, 2012dittofire1 posted a message on Snapshot 12w36a Ready For Testing!1.4 will come out around Halloween and serve as the major Halloween update 2012 for Minecraft. So far it looks really cool, especially the new Wither boss and masks to wear as if you were to go trick or treating. Cannot wait to see what else they will implement before Halloween, which is a really long ways awayPosted in: News

Ever since he became in charge of Minecraft, only the best of the best updates have been rolling in. I love the idea of hanging items as decor, flower pots have FINALLY come, and a new boss?! Not to mention freaking invisibility AND night vision...I look back at the time when I played Alpha for the first time, and looking to 1.4, Minecraft has come a LONG way. This game will become legendary.Posted in: News

I hope you Mojangstas continue to make Minecraft the best game in the world and never let the hate of others get you down. Jeb is a serious, mature developer, who likes to program and make Minecraft more efficient and helpful. This made Minecraft more interesting.
Both would be great developers...I think Jeb will start releasing more interesting updates, like bosses and more mobs...good luck Jeb -
Nov 23, 2011dittofire1 posted a message on Yogscast Responds To StatementPosted in: NewsQuote from techmetallover
Exactly this. Yogscast claim the only time they spoke with Notch was during their interview. Due to the mature response of the Yogscast I am inclined to believe this, as Notch's tweets simply dont give us enough actual evidence.
Notch isn't going to come out with evidence, because I'm pretty certain he didn't see all of what he claims happened, there's a chance he got the info 'through the grapevine' if you like, he jumped on the swearing thing then got hounded by trolls and decided to 'stop biting his tongue' and came out with everything he had heard, all of which Yogscast deny and I honestly find hard to believe they actually did most of it.
In the end this whole thing looks a lot worse because of that hate bandwagon that people feel the need to jump on when drama occurs on the net.
searching Yogscast in the twitter feed yesterday got you loads of people hating on them how rude they all are how they should be ashamed etc etc.
search Notch right now and it's the same **** aimed at him.
That said, that really is Notch's fault as he failed to act professionally and in a mature manner. When you do that from a position of power you incite idiot followers who take your word as gold and fail to see any other possible explanation. Bring the internet into that equation and you get it on a much larger scale.
Yogscast are still gaining subs, they will still make entertaining videos, Notch still made one of the greatest games ever, he will continue to update it, no one will care next week, that's my final thoughts.
Amen. - To post a comment, please login.

Just some ideas for an awesome mod! Any suggestions/ideas/changes are welcome.

I have seen a lot of realmite, the normal amount that I used to find before beta. However I have yet to find some arlemite and rupees. I have also seen a good amount of ranged weapons functional, contrary to the wiki bugs list. 14 ranged weapons don't work, and some, like the pardimal and quadrotic bows, are missing missile textures.
Also here are a couple of armor bugs I found besides the no protection bug:
1. Putting on Kraken Armor gives the underwater breathing buff, but once you remove the armor, the counter gets to zero and stays there, the buff stays on the inventory screen, and you are now unable to breathe underwater. It never goes away.
2. Jack-o-Man armor is messed up. The armor parts go into the wrong slots, and the boots are missing. Putting the armor on does NOT give the hunger buff. ID issue?
3. Shadow Armor zooms the view forward, like when you sprint, but you do NOT get a speed boost. The zoom doesn't go away easy, even by removing the armor. Switching game modes fixes the zoom issue.

1. DRPG mobs seem to jerk around and stutter while moving. This only occurs with DRPG mobs, vanilla mobs are fine
2. Iceika mobs drop (placeholder?) Cyclopsian Swords on death
3. Mythril Archer's bow is floating and isn't being held by the hand
4. The yellow cori (forgot the actual name) is named "cori2" in the game
5. Mythril Fiend's "dual swords" seem to clip into the model when it walks
6. Cadillion ears don't move when head turns
7. Vhraak seems to spawn 6 other Vhraaks around it that disappear after a moment then reappear again
8. Killing Raglok crashes the game and corrupts the world, forcing to delete the save and start anew
9. Various mobs, like Soulfiend and Karot, have no sounds (unfinished?)
10. Glitch/unfinished recipes for important things like realmite armor and some weapons
I may have forgotten somethings, so please add some if necessary, and clarification is also welcome.

I do love some of the decorations, like the various kinds of pumpkins. However, the rest of the blocks, like the carpets, are pretty much obsolete due to the addition of carpets in a previous version (don't remember) in vanilla. 1.7.2 added a ton of new decor blocks, and getting rid of the old decor blocks from DivineRPG lets you add more items to the game in their place, or save memory by downsizing the mod content entirely. DivineRPG is based more on adventure, looting/farming, collecting, and killing bosses. Building is best left for vanilla IMO.
In short, I pretty much only use the mob pumpkins

If you guys aren't going to update DivineRPG any longer, you need to tell us. Don't leave us waiting for a month only to realize that its closed. We'd rather get slapped with the fact that the mod is no more than wait delusional for an update only to get slapped even harder a month later. Yes, the fans will be upset, maybe furious. Just consider this as you (may) press the delete button on the project. Thanks for reading this guys at Xolova.

To you, maybe, but remember there are other people on this Earth that don't have the same likes and dislikes as you. You may never use a texture pack in your life, but there remains people that love to use texture packs as a way to increase the atmosphere and really indulge themselves into the fantasy world that is Minecraft. Isn't that what video games are for? To pass the time in an alternate universe away from the burdens of real life?

If you can complete the Veteran Challenge on hardcore, you can probably survive the Ender Dragon on hardcore too. Remember, only the best of the best can complete this challenge. Try and find out!

Yea as long as you don't cheat you're good

BE SURE TO READ EVERYTHING
OVERVIEW
The Minecraft Veteran Challenge is meant to spice up your minecraft experience by introducing game elements that test your survival skills to their limit! This challenge doesn't need to be done on a certain seed or world; it can be done in any world as long as it's fresh and new! This challenge is not easy; only attempt if you are familiar with minecraft (which I'm sure most of you are). Your goal is to beat all the stages of the Veteran Challenge, OR survive as long as possible while completing the various stages of the challenge. Your final veteran score is either VICTORY after beating the challenge OR the score the game gives you when you die (displayed on the "Game Over" screen). Obviously beating the challenge is a bigger reward than getting a numerical score, but keep in mind: This challenge is not easy, considering all the stages you need to go through to win!
BASIC RULES
(These rules outline the rules of the actual veteran challenge itself)
VETERAN STAGES
This challenge has stages, which must be completed in order to beat the challenge. The Veteran Challenge consists of 4 stages, each with an objective you complete to enter that stage. The first stage has restrictions while the other 3 lift those restrictions gradually. The stages are as follows:
NOVICE STAGE
ADVANCED STAGE (Obtain a Wither Skull)
I am currently doing the challenge myself, and have gotten 2 of the 3 Wither Skulls needed to spawn the Wither Boss and beat the game! This challenge is not for the faint-hearted. You must manage your food supply, your health, your armor, and keep your eyes open at all times. On hardcore with full health, a single creeper blast from up close can fatally wound or even kill you!
Good luck trying to beat the challenge! Any suggestions for the challenge? Post in comments!

You can go into the Global Mod Settings option in the Minecraft Menu ingame and change the mob spawn rates to your liking. For your situation, just go to all the Mo Creatures spawn rate frequencies and set them to 0. That way they won't spawn and only vanilla mobs will spawn. If you don't want vanilla mobs to spawn either, just set their spawn frequencies to 0 as well.
Also, I don't really understand your second issue. Could you restate it more simply? What is the F9 key causing trouble with?
Hope this help!

I had Mo Creatures 5.0.8 for a while and my game suddenly crashed saying player ticked or something like that. However, I decided to update Mo Creatures because it was now 5.1.5. So I did, and the game didn't crash anymore, BUT now all pets or tamed mobs that I have and/or get don't have a name or hp bar above their head. I feed a horse an apple, name it, and when I'm done, it doesn't get their name and hp bar above their head. I can still ride it and stuff, but I can't see the hp bar or name, which is frustrating. I also had a pet bunny named Mr. Bunny (clever name, eh?) and a scorpion named Dasani (I had little creativity that day and I had a water bottle on my desk, calm down...). After the update, they no longer had names. I even tried reseting the game, and checking all mods, and nothing seems to work. Any help or a solution regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated! Have a beautiful day!
