I saw there was a preview for optifine and was going to try and launch the installer until it said Minecraft 1.7.2 not found and it was then that I realized I had forgot about the Minecraft 1.7.4 update and I ran outside as fast as I could to scream out Mojang's name in the cold rain as I slammed my fists on the ground only to ask the gods why they would give me such a cruel fate

yay so idk what happened really but earlier I found out I had a duplicate entry in the hardware manager so I removed it and stuff then later I clicked a link that goes back to the intel driver update utility and was like what the hell thinking it would still say it can't do anything but no a miracle happened and for some reason it wasn't saying I had a custom graphic card thing anymore and it offered me an update and now I can play Minecraft without having to mess with the hardware acceleration each time I can just go straight in with full acceleration mode so yeah hurray still don't really understand but yay :3

But I would tone that to just below half, rather than off. You don't have to bother with other settings, like disabling all Directdraw and Direct3d, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations.

It has something to do with the GPU not being able to render fully, but the CPU is completely capable of doing so.

I never turned it off this is what setting I had to put it at to get Minecraft to launch
I tried every other setting but that was the only one that works
But once Minecraft Launches it makes my cursor be derpy in the Minecraft window
it is invisible unless I move it and when I move it it will flicker and have a little box around it that shows what it just passed over it is weird... then the only way to get that to stop is changing the hardware acceleration back to

And I am able to play with no problems but I have to repeat that every time I close and relaunch which is kind of annoying

The only way I can get Minecraft to launch is by going to hardware acceleration and disabling all Directdraw and Direct3d, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations. But when I do that my cursor while playing Minecraft flickers constantly and is invisible if I don't move it. I was messing around with the settings after that and found out that if I change hardware acceleration back to full once Minecraft is loaded it fixes the cursor, but I have to do that every time I launch Minecraft the thing I don't understand is why it never made me do this before I never had to do this until I was trying to uninstall League of Legends. Half way through the uninstaller gave me an error saying it can't uninstall so I looked up some guide and tried to manually uninstall it and I think it worked but later I tried playing Minecraft and it wouldn't launch so I was thinking I must of messed something up so I tried doing a system restore but nothing changed so I looked up guides for the OpenGL acceleration error and everyone just says update your graphic card drivers but when I go to Intel to try and update it I don't know what to do because Intel tells me this:

I got this computer for free from someone who didn't want it anymore a long time ago, It was really old when I got It but it worked fine with Minecraft until now. I made sure that I have the latest Java and DirectX versions and everything else I could think of but still no difference. If anyone knows how to make it work without having to mess with the hardware acceleration every time I want to play that would be cool but if there is no way I guess It's fine since I can still play.

Oh here is the error I get if hardware acceleration is on any other mode when I try to launch:

Kinda sad I can't use this anymore or the mods that I use that rely on modloader won't work :L

I'm trying to get the night vision pumpkin to work but when I put a pumpkin on all it shows is a picture of a pumpkin in the top left.... :|

you should be able to craft wheat+bonemeal and feed it to baby animals and it will make them grow instantly

i tried getting a fresh new minecraft and tried downloading optifine and i did delete meta-inf but this is all i get :| please help me fix

i have been having this problem too i was just about to make a thread glad i saw this :3 i hope you get an answer here cause all i see is white and its hard to tell ranks

i just had a few ideas i dont know if they are any good but i will give it a go

1.what if cactus blocks made it so when another soldier attacked them a small portion of damage would be reflected back?

2.what if redstone torches made it so a clay soldier could ask as wireless redstone?

3.what if you give a clay soldier seeds it will make all plants in a certain radius grow faster?

thats all i got :/
