    get the facts.
    EDIT: in fact rather than having dragon armour, have the dragon drop a map. the map shows the location of an acient underground temple.after exploring the temple you find a lever, which stops the lava flow covering the tresure. but have the dragon still be alive on peacfull, so people cant just turn to peacfull mode to avoid the dragon.

    That would actually work better unless it fell into lava but you could find the temple on accident/or it not be able to generate within what a map can show/ect.

I think Zombies should be like "villager zombie" Which looks like a zombie NPC. or in strongholds a "Warrior Zombie" so each idea of yours gets applied while adding more depth to the game

    See this^ is better than simply stating what you hate about it doesn't state one or make some stupid remark but it's clear as is he/she doesn't like at least one but he/she gives an idea of how this could work

    The Dream World
    As you know Notch is going to add a place called the dreamworld.I have my own ideas about how this could look and feel.
    Every time you sleep you have a 1% chance to get sucked in.
    Once you are you can leave and come back at will by clicking dream instead of sleep near a bed.
    Due to this being a dream it would constantly be covered in an etherel fog like haze that while not really veiw restricting would be more aesthetic than anything.
    Due to this being a dream you can fly smoothly throughout.
    On your first visit to this realm you will spawn in a floating island like place or nether.
    The nether will be a nightmarish place with shape distorted on your first visit.
    Living pigmen spawn in the floating island place.
    If you die in a dream you wake up.
    The islands have ponds and chairs every now and then.
    When entering you can choose to get a random dream or go to an old one.
    You may spawn any items or block*almost*
    No hostile mobs spawn in the floating island themed dream.
    You are never hungry.
    ABSOLUTLY NO ITEMS OR BLOCKS CAN BE BROUGHT INTO THE REAL WORLD!
    It is never dark in the skylands place.
    Gold temples sometimes spawn.
    Gravity can be changed.
    ect.

    1.Lava field
    A.Only area where red dragons spawn
    B.best added with lava boats
    It is a VERY Large biome as big as oceans with the odd obsidian island or Volcano See the more explosives mod for how this could work.It would be dangerous being an area where ghasts and blazes could sometimes spawn.The lava itself would extend to around 67 or 40 meters up from the very lowest bedrock.I this area lava slimes spawn I.E. magma cubes.Same basic ideaS as ocean.
    2.Atminia...atlanticratia...atlantis like place
    A.Area where pigmen spawn
    B.Only in oceans
    These are basically giant underwater NPC villages but more...evolved.The cities themselves are in a dome similiar to to...the bio-dome mod.The streets are gold instead of gravel, and glowstone replaces the primitive wool torch lamps.The buildings are...I think I might make a map to demonstrate better but there are basically
    I.Tombs-Giant obsidian buildings housing nether portals(get it?)
    II.Air air tunnels-holes leading to the waters surface.
    III.Temples-Stone temples or gold iron mixed temples that house a giant gold sword idol
    IV.Gardens-range from poor dirt areas with a tree and flowers, to the castle's with many trees flowers melons and ..well thats about it
    V.castles-Large lavish areas like nether forts but smaller and more gold...ish or somthing
    VI.houses/mansion-These range from large houses filled with paintings and carpet to normal npc areas
    3.holes in the ground
    A.Its a hole...in the ground
    4.Undercity
    A.Only area where mining villagers spawn
    B.dirty?
    These are like abandoned mineshafts only more city like.
    5.Skylands-Same as canceled area but can be reached by building tower or something.This would work VERY well with a taller map hieght.
    6.Desert shrines-small areas made of sandstone that look shriny
    7.mayan temples- would spawn in jungles ignore the name that is just for reference.Huge jungle dungeons with cave spider spawners and chest.
    8.Shipwrecks-Ocean dungeons that take the form of wooden box like areas that have two levels each spawning...silverfish or skeletons with a broken mast or two besides it with cloth.
    9.glowstone beaches-Spawns rarely near oceans or rivers I MEAN RARELY like charged creeper rare!
    10.abandoned stone towers-some type of two level tower that can sometimes spawn
    11.plains-Really flat areas entirely covered in grass
    12.Skeleton-spawns in deserts made of some...boney block
    13.fog-at night almost before dawn looks like short tiny render distance slowly getting to what ever is set can be turned off
    13.Fallen idols-appear ANY where heads or arms that look like broken statues in the ground
    14.abyss-a giant biome that is covered in void fog and looks like a big hole
    15.Giant hollow trees-logs that well yeah.
    16.broken forts-again yeah
    So these a basically it post your thoughts and such.

Naturally people found workarounds using pistons (as the Minecraft community, despite its general ignorance, can be quite brilliant at times).
