Its C++ so its only runs on a windows vps.

Erm, what? Please don't go making claims like that when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. It builds and runs cleanly on Windows (VS2008, VS2010 or MingW), linux, MacOS X and FreeBSD.

Deoxxa here, one of the developers (probably the least active) of mineserver. Q/A time!

hmmm sorry i cant so good english , but is this now running or not?

on the homepage i dont cant find the download link for the windows version.

Right now the website is not functional. We're not providing compiled builds of the server just yet because there's often (large) changes to the source every few hours so the builds would become stale very quickly, but you can get the source code from github here. If anyone feels like helping out with the website, it's also open source (see here).

I am in if this server has built-in support for hMod and Cuboid commands.

I'm not completely sure what hMod is (a mod for the java server I presume?), but once we get the scripting working Cuboid shouldn't be too hard to implement. We're going to have a plugin system for things like external scripting, additional functionality, etc. One of the default plugins will be a Lua plugin, so people will be able to write their own mods fairly easily. The plan is to eventually support more languages as well (python, perl, what have you) through more plugins.

It will be great if this server can allow pre-generation of world. I will prefer no in-game terrain generation to get more control of the world and provide better performance. Owners can pre-generate a world in certain size (don't care if it takes a long time) and preview the world before using it. Worlds can be expanded if needed by owners.

Good news! Right now that's the only method available! I'll make a note that map expansion should be optional even when the generation is working in the development channel.

So whats working and what isn't?

Right now you can join, run around, mine blocks, place blocks, place water (and bask in the awesome physics), chat, all the very basic stuff. The more complex entities don't work exactly as they should right now (chests, signs, etc), TNT doesn't work, lava doesn't turn to obsidian, things like that. Stuff is changing at a breakneck pace though, so this description will likely be out of date by the time you read it (yes, I'm talking to you, anonymous forum lurker). Check the github page for more info.

an IP starting with 192. is an ip that is on your own lan network so we won't be able to access it from the www
the ip starting with 127, is again on your own lan...

Actually it's 192.168.x.x that's non-routable (i.e. can not be routed to the internet), not 192.x.x.x. Along with 10.x.x.x, that is. Any IP in 127.x.x.x is called a "loopback address", in that it "loops back" to your machine for internal networking purposes.

http://whatismyip.com/ is a good call though, that will show you your external IP, so long as you're not stuck behind a (possibly transparent) proxy.

You're aware that most of the IP's (yes, that apostrophe is used correctly) that you're posting are non-routable addresses, right? The 192.168.0.0/16 range is private and the 127.0.0.0/8 range is for loopback interfaces only. It sounds like you need to become acquainted with a little concept known as "port forwarding". Google can help you from here.

Have you read the rules? Mm-hmm
    3 things about you:
      [*:f5xaru84] I'm relatively easy going.
[*:f5xaru84] I'm good at pixel art stuff (makes for purdy displays in-game).
[*:f5xaru84] I'm a computer programmer so there's a slight chance I could help if issues with the server pop up.
What is rule 1? No Griefing

I was playing on Azrooh's server, but my things got griefed so many times I've kind of given up making tricky stuff. Hopefully that won't be an issue on yours!

I can NEVER find any slimes in my caves.I want a slime farm soo badly!! Can someone make a mod where it shows where slimes are more likely to spawn and less likely to spawn? Thanks for reading!

Make a 50x50 room on the bottom of the map and make sure its set up so

    10blocks are dirt
    10blocks are sand
    5 blocks are lava
    5 blocks are water
    10blocks are cobblestone
and the last 10 are the op rocks. (Ones you cant destroy)

Make them in selections and make SURE you seal off the way you came completely, come back in 5-mine-craft days and bam you got slimes.
( Best way, Dig 1 x 2 hole in ground hide in it with a torch under you and go afk when your sleeping the next day, you wished you never wanted to get them)

And if you move the truck you can catch mew!!1!11!!!!11!1eleven

Your mangling of tense made me think the server was back up. Curse you for your inability to string together a collection of words in a syntactically correct fashion.
