How can you setup a Static IP address? And idk what's wrong with my portforwarding, I have watched video's on how to portforward specificly for my router/modem. I also go onto canyouseeme.org and I type in my port, it says the connection times out =/ It would also be helpful if you have skype. If you have it please send a friend request to me: tenacious2000

I hope I get my server up and running soon. :)

I actually do know what you are talking about, (I think) where can I find my static IP address? And sorry if it's easy to find but I've never done these sort of things before, because I have never had to. I am using a wireless connection but I can use a ethernet cable but not very often for that my mums computer can only go onto the internet with a ethernet cable. Add me on skype (tenacious2000) if you have it, because if you've had the similar problem then maybe it can make my life a lot easier. If this works, I'm glad to give you a rank on my server! :)@AmberK

Okay, will my friends still be able to join my server? And also, I have changed the port multiple times in the portforwarding system for my router/modem, and it keeps saying the same thing over, and over again. I changed it to 25566, 25567, 25568, and, 25560. I have not forwarded any other ports apart from this one, which I made back to 25565. But when I use Hamachi, it works fine, I'm starting to think it's the IP...

Okay, are you sure this will work? Last time I did this when I had a Netgear router/modem I had to include the IP...

P.S: Do you have time to try and join my server now?

If you do here's the IP:
    121.219.198.191
And if that dosn't work, then add :25565 at the end

Thank you if this works! And like I said above, if it works i'm glad to give anyone who helps admin/op. :)

Okay, I just did that just then, but if I don't include any IP's, will anyone be able to join my server?

    Hi,
I am having big trouble on my server that I have made. I am always sick of using Hamachi and i've always hated the program due to major lagg on the server. I portforwarded the port 25565 correctly on my router wich is a
    Technicolor TG587n .
I put the ports for TCP and UDP in my firewall just in-case it was blocking the port, and my antivirus is McAfee Security Suite. My IP that I got from ipchicken.com is this: 121.219.198.191 I put this into my server.properties and I run this server and it comes up saying: 195 recipes

    27 achievements
09:36:51 [INFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.3.1
    09:36:51 [INFO] Loading properties
09:36:51 [INFO] Default game type: SURVIVAL
    09:36:51 [INFO] Generating keypair
09:36:51 [INFO] Starting Minecraft Server on 121.219.198.191:25565
09:36:51 [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND PORT!
09:36:51 [WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind
09:36:51 [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already on that port?

And yes, I have portforwarded it like i said above before, and I havn't done it twice and another program isn't running while I have the server running. The IP I think isn't allowing because when I use LogMeIn Hamachi, it works fine. But like I said earlier IT SLOWS THE SERVER DOWN! =/

But I hope any of use can help me out here, and if you need any pictures of my router and other things I would be happy to post them. Also, if you find any tutorials for me to look at then that would be helpful too!

P.S: When I had a different router/motem, (It was NetGear btw) it worked perfectly fine, but the reason why we changed routers is because I had to move houses for personal reasons.

Another P.S: If you did help, then I would be glad to invite you to the server, and get a admin rank! :)
