So this was a couple days after I started playing (about a month ago actually). I had spent a solid three hours a "wizard's tower" (not including the time I spent building the hill/mountain thing that it'd be on). When I finally finished, it was dark, so I went back to my house nearby to sleep until morning. When I awoke I discovered I left the door to the tower open, and when I went inside to start furnishing it, I discovered a group of creepers who decided to blow up the entire bottom section of the building, along with a good chunk of the mountain.

My ranting on Facebook about this

"I'm not one for swearing so I won't. BUT I just spent three hours working on a tower in Minecraft just to have a gang of creepers blow up the entire bottom section. Now I'm hiding behind a pillar in the tower from a gang of skeletons that decided to attack me while I was fixing the tower. They're currently trapped in a hole that their creeper buddies made, and I'm going to keep them in there until the sun comes up and burns them to death. I feel good about this."

The only time I've ever died without having my heart skip a beat was when I jumped off of a big spire thing I had made to mark my house's location. I knew I'd have to die going up anway, so it wasn't a big concern.
