posted a message on So how big is youre house?
Mine is built into a mountain...it probably spans a couple biomes, if I am using that term correctly. I rarely go down to the bottom floor, because I usually get lost. The world spawned a gigantic cavern underneath several mountains, and I just have been digging into it for a long time. I've needed to patch it several times--its no means mob-proof, but almost.

It's not really a house as it is more like a fortress.

There's a couple entrances that are hidden underwater, and a powered rail that took forever to mine for and build. Pretty sure the surrounding area of my main spot has no gold left lol. The world spawned an incredible amount of redstone and iron, however. Was quite strange. Looks better than gargamel, imo.

posted a message on Underground forest!
This seems like a good idea. These new areas could spawn in swamp-like conditions (in dark areas underground, next to an underground stream or water source, and surrounded by lots of dirt).

Perhaps this new type of wood could create special arrows and other wooden items?

    Support.

posted a message on Anti-gravity block / launch pad
I figure it's probably already in a mod, but yeah, it would be nice to have it across most minecraft multiplayer servers. :)

Seems like it would go well with what's going to be in 1.3, and for obstacle courses and whatnot.

posted a message on Anti-gravity block / launch pad
    I was thinking,

I looked at the topic that had all the suggestions that people have posted. I didn't see this one. Correct me if I am wrong.

...but what I was thinking, was a block, 1x1, that you could place anywhere, and as soon as you step on it, you immediately get shot up in the air.

In other words, this block would pretty much reverse the x and y axis for that given area, or something. It would work in such a way as a pad that you see in Unreal Tournament, Halo, and other games.

The block could be used to propel a user straight up until they hit blocks above them that can secure a safe landing but also would not be affected by gravity (no sand, gravel, etc)

The block could also be used to propel a user in the x and y direction simultaneously, if the user runs up to it. The faster they run up to it, the further the launch / lower the trajectory.

This could make many new opportunities for maps that require skilled long-distance jumping.

It would also make building tall structures easier.

People could also hand materials over to other players that are much higher up on the level by discarding them onto the block.

    Thoughts?
