I was the smart wallflower. Hung out with a group, didn't talk that much, and generally shy and introverted. However, always liked company and far more social out of the schools. People did call me a nerd or geek, but never bothered me.
But since I'm no longer in school... I'm FAR more open, and loving it. :happy.gif:
I used to complain about iron shortages, but after branch mining effectively around levels 10-13, I got 1.25 stacks in about 1-2 hours. I suggest start a mine near bedrock levels, and just work for a bit.
Since the new update, I was always wondering on the orientation. Built a compass a week ago and find it pointing to my original spawn point, when I was hoping it point to 0, 0. I'll admit, I not happy with it pointing to some weird location like -176, 235, and would wish it to have to compass oriented to 0, 0.
I know I feel like I'm griping, but want to see others input on the matter. Would you like to see the compass point to map's origin (0, 0), adapt a orientation to North, or have it act the same (pointing to spawn). For me, I already stated that a origin pointed compass would make me happy.
From the overwhelming responses saying "No, I don't think they are all that great." I think the question needs to be begged: Have you ever been in a relationship?
It's true to most people, but you need to meet a few asexuals. They actually believe it.
The Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy is a good series, but just finished Venus in Furs a couple weeks ago. I definitely recommend it if your open-minded and wanna read a romance novel.
Relationship... none at the moment, and a variety of toys keep me satisfied. However, not saying that I would like to be in a relationship.
The closest thing to a relationship I have is a sense of 'companionship' with a close friend whom asexual. It's always fun to hug and cuddle with him. Also, not sure if he thinks the same about me though. So... its a little complicated I think. -__-;;;
But most furries have been demanding a answer, waving torches and pitchforks (figuratively) and generally being very unruly.
I feel like a calm, reasoned question as to why the tread was locked would have worked better.
Despite what I've heard some of the people on the forum say, I've heard next to none of the staff members justify what Ez did to the chat and Furry threads or even try to official defend her in some announcement or something.
You'd think if there was really such a general consensus on such things, that threads about and/or related to the issues would have been removed/locked by now anyway.
That's the thing. If a similar thing had happened on the server I'm a mod on (people throwing fits, demanding an explanation, acting generally uncivil), I wouldn't give them a reason because I would feel giving them a reason after that would justify their behavior and open the door for others to do the same. I believe if the furries conducted a calm, reasoned discussion, the mods would be much more open and helpful.
It's like when a child screams and cries for a candy bar. You don't give it to him/her, because it justifies his/her behavior.

I can simply say that I wanna know the reason. Still didn't get a direct reason for the locking. O.o
I'm not going to put words in EZ's mouth, but If I had to make a guess it would be that the general veiw of furries is a negative one, and I would not want people being turned away from my website because there are furries on it. That seems reason enough.
I don't wanna see anyone put words in EZ's mouth either.
I understand furries having a bad rep, but if that is the case, he/she can simple state that. If someone cross that NSFW boundary, state it and I'll be the fool that did. If its just the simple fact that people don't like the furry community, state it. And it's the off-topic thread, in the off-topic section, and from what I saw, pics were kept SFW... with a the occasional suggestive pics. I didn't see it breaking any rules... but with how the last week, the thread grew 7 pages a day, I know I might've missed something.
Hearing a simple statement on the reason for satisfy me. That's all I'm saying. :smile.gif:
