Is there a way for me to update the map if i already have it downloaded and not lose my progress? It might just be me, but I feel like reinstalling the 1.2 version will just redownload the world and spawn be back at the start. Also I'm having the same 30-second crash problem; Sometimes the HUD just disappears except for the voxel readers and like chest and furnace menu textures are gone...
v1.2 has map updates so yes you will start back at the beginning, but you can just cheat to get back to where you were. :smile.gif:
umm i have kinda run into an issue :/ i cant play the game anymore, i got the (spoilers, stop reading here if dun care)where i have to traverse the invisible? maze. i gave up and came back today, tried to log in and gave me the read error"too many failed login attempts"or something along those lines, i refreshed my minecraft folder with force update and its fine now, but whenever i install it(just the sounds so i dont lose my data/ second tick box)it does this :/
I've seen this same texture pack in other people's maps, so it wasn't really groundbreaking in my mind.
The texture pack is a slightly modified version of our own Space texture pack, so if you have seen it before in other maps they are copying us not the other way around.
I'm having this problem as well, changed my password and haven't touched my account in 6 hours. So either notch has some messed up code or someone is trying to brute force my account. Neither are very good possibilities.

I have tried to install Deep space turtle chase with and without the audio mod and it still crashes my computer. Plz any help will be appreciated.

i loved this map
found the lava dieing sounds a tad annoying after a bit and i was a little dense toward the color puzzle
but in the end it was just simple dazzling story, art, and red stone complexity
and the talking maps were just pure brilliance

This map is most likely the greatest map ever made. The attention to detail is astounding, the story is easy to get caught up in, the texture pack works seamlessly with the gameplay, and overall, there must have been more effort and time put into this than any other map created. The mods definitely made everything better. I loved the character of Schmidt (most likely simply because it's CaptainSparklez), and though his voice was rather cheesy-sounding, Testudine played his part well. Also, I normally hate puns and set the people who make them on fire, but I loved what you did with the player's name, as well as all the different references you hid around the place. The puzzles were original, and worked flawlessly. I found absolutely no bugs other than that one with the bed before the lava, but that is easily fixed by sleeping in the bed that came before that one. This map easily deserves a 10/10. I eagerly await part 2!
Well after messing around and finding nothing in the space station where there's supposed to be a portal outside, and finding nothing i tried to install the new version.
So far i've been re installing it about 5 times with no result. I keep on deleting .minecraft, launch minecraft and install again, install the mod and then try to launch the start map. Every time i get to the end of the "door" you start next to, the game freezes. Any suggestions, tips?

in the digsite after u go down the drain into the place with a lava river. my bed doesnt work so if i die i have to start at the crashed ship so i have to do nearly everything again, it gets annoying after 10 times. a minor bug at first but eventually becomes just plain annoying :sad.gif:
Fixed in version 1.2 out now. You can just cheat a bit to get back to where you were so you don't have to restart.

The mod is looking in the wrong place for the step sounds, that it was is causing a very large chunk of the crashes.

What sizes is the texture pack? becuase i dont think my computer can have anything bigger than 16X16 becuase everytime i try to play it freezes after i step a few blocks.
So, I seem to be having a problem... I run the installer, get on minecraft, load the world, and everything seems to be fine until I walk past the door! It doesn't crash, but it freezes and I can't do anything except force quit the application... I have played slightly far into the map before the 1.1 release came out, so it has worked before, just... not now :smile.gif:

After downloading this game with the sounds, I attempted to leave the cryo chamber. This proved to be the most difficult thing I have ever encountered. After your "wait" which I gave up on after 30 minutes game time, I decided to run out pressing escape to save my progress before it would freeze.
I managed to loot the chest and listen to your first message, but as soon as that was over, it froze and literally wont work again.
I'm having to download the much more downgraded version of this map, and I'm really dissappointed. I've always looked up to Voxel Box as being amazing and really really talented, but I feel let down that, even on my pc that can play pretty much any game on full graphics, seems to struggle with a simple amount of sounds, and the help provided isn't exactly... helpful.
I feel that there could be more done to help people stuck in a position like me, and I'll look forward to seeing if you can update this map to accomodate players who want the full experience without the hassle.
Maybe even a troubleshooting video? Get CaptainSparklez to narrate?

game crashes after few secs
tryed in the new patch and was actually able to move a little
i got about 2 blocks out of the door thing
did not hit block only opened door
yes i force uppdated
i actually removed all files in .minecraft several times
yes i did try the sound thing unchecked
and i have java 6

I try to download all the files and things but when i try to extract it to the .minecraft, it says "Specified file not found".
Oh BTW, i'm using a crappy Vista.

Ive downloaded the files fine and used the 'Force update' option in my minecraft but when i press 'next' for the first time in the installer a seporate window opens:

if i press 'no' the installer closes, However if i press 'yes' the installer runs normaly but when i open minecraft nothing has happened.

No, only v1 had any problems with that.
There is a button about half way down the first screen of the mod pack to direct where it looks for your .minecraft folder.

There is always the vanilla. all you are missing i the voice overs.
Run the installer.
Delete minecraft and reinstall.
