    start small and practice. make a small form and then upscale it. the technique youd use to model and upscale a bannana is these same you would use to upscale a cathedral.


    rhetoric and theory only go so far, you have to put the concepts into practice so you will form relationships with the terms from the experience.


    make mistakes, get messy. because i, heres the kicker, did explain it in laymen terms. once you practice scaling small complex forms and you start understanding "measuring from a center point", youl either get it, or youl just give up.


    imagine using only text to describe tying shoes...

    2:1 scale meaning your doubling the size of an object...


    you will need to plot a "center" reference point. it dosnt literally need to be at the center of the object, but all dimensional measurements will be relative to this "center" plot. if i was to scale a physical object, for instance, i could just pick a relative point on its surface and make all dimension measures from that point.


    in classic measuring, the center point dosnt have volume. in minecraft, its tempting(and foolish) to give it volume. if you do, then you will need to increase its volume as you would any other dimensional measurement. so for instance, a center with a volume of 1x1x1 becomes 2x2x2.


    when scaling, co-ords are simply divided in the case of enlargement or multiplied in the case of miniaturization . so co-ord 0,0,0 with a volume of 1x1x1 would become co ords .5,.5,.5 though -.5,-.5,-.5 with a volume of 2x2x2...



    so if you can help it, its easier in the longrun not to give your center any volume and leave it as a point at the center of a grid.

    that reads like a pretty solid report. dont expect immediate results though. hopefully someone who understands the issue(im not versed in that yet) will read it and vet your post.


    rofl post script... i just checked the page and a moderator already flagged it as "not enough info to replicate"


    try writing out all the steps you did concerning the entire project; then summarize it so someone who has no idea what your talking about can recreate the issue from scratch in creative mode.


    obviously your talking about trap doors, so focus on that feature and drop out the extraneous info.


    edit: even more post script, i just realised i missread the start of your post, they will flag your rewritten report as incomplete as well. as i mentioned above, you literaly have to walk them through recreating it step by step...


    rofl... yeah... thats why i dont report much unless its easy to explain...

    end to end, 90° bends, four way inter sections and what you need, T intersects.


    i posted two pics, its not what you want but its how i achieve similar effect. the build on the left is using observers, nice if you can get away with observers. i used the torches version extensively on my 6x6 piston door.

    the top layers of the nether are bedrock blocks in both versions. you cant get through bedrock blocks in either version. so why ask for something that, for all intents and purpose, dosnt exist? if your gonna cheat, great. but you cant cheat and then ask for a glass of milk.

    microsoft, sony, apple, valve and so on are seriously looking into server hub remote game streaming. i wouldnt be surprised if we re all forced to play "minecraft: stream" in 5-10 years. that is, if you want to play the up to date version... wich will probably be a child of bedrock.


    so at this point, i dont think it matters. i envision microsoft abandoning development of java and bedrock simultaneously. then no one can complain. "stop whining and just get a stream account" rofl... or whats ms call it? azure? rofl... ftw.

    these would be automatically paired with the binding curse. maybe as non selectable hidden batch enchantments youl sometimes get when using the table.


    fiend hoof curse:


    con: sets any flammable block the player stands on... on fire...


    pro: fire immunity



    singular curse: a op version of the vanishing curse to put on mob armor...


    con: causes an epic explosion after wearers death, destroying all dropped items...


    pro: grieftastic.... rofl.



    curse of immortality: gives the player ghostly appearance


    con: player has slowed movement speed. cant attack mobs, place or destroy blocks...


    pros: player can fly (.5 m/s) isnt targeted by mobs and can use inventory and use mechanisms. dosnt suffer hunger. magical affects from food and potions are instantly dispelled.



    a light curse:


    cons: player foot movement becomes 100 m/s...


    pros: player foot movement becomes 100 m/s...



    sieves curse:


    cons: player randomly spawns water blocks at his feet...


    pro: rofl. theres not always a pro...




    poly morph curse: at cirtain phases of the moon, the player turns into the corresponding curses creature. eg: armor cursed with "the curse of sir robin" might turn the player into a chicken when the moon is waxing or waning... then the player also gains that animals abilities... so... laying eggs?




    then there would also need to be a new set of potions, each specifically designed to remove only a specific curse. the more potentially exploitable the curse, the rarer the potions ingredients.
