Ohhh, okay. Yeah, I was trying to install Forge - none of the other Forge installation guides on the Internet mentioned doing anything differently.

I've launched and run Minecraft after installing Forge and I still have no mods folder. (I also don't have a config or bin folder either but I assumed that was a feature of the new version.) This is my .minecraft folder:

posted a message on [SUPER EASY] How to Install Minecraft Forge and Mods in 1.6.2
Weird...I installed Forge and it looked like it went alright, but I don't have a 'mods' folder. Or 'coremods'.
EDIT: nevermind, I installed it all wrong.

    Awesome mod, many props!

An idea that might end up being uber-complex - as I don't know if there would be a way to randomize coat colours/patterns with spawns, maybe give the player the ability to change a horse's coat colour with dyes? (I don't know how you'd change patterns or markings...that could be too complicated.)

Just wondering - will this over-write the spawns for Wolves and Ocelots in-game? Could get a little crowded with both mod and non-mod Wolves and Cats/Ocelots spawning...

Ah yes, dragons. The alleged reptilian beasts that fly. We have dismissed that claim.

But really MAN THIS IS SO COOL I am DYING for 1.9 now.

Notch, Jeb, I will send you guys an industrial-size crate of coffee if that means I'll get 1,9 sooner.

posted a message on 1.9 Updates: Possible Potions, Exciting Enchantments

Next, the enchanting. The only problem I really have is that it cost EXP. I would like to hope that rather then in being ^&%$-all random, that it's only random when you're trying to LEARN spells. As you figure out enchantments, you can then use them again as needed.

A use for books! When you learn an enchant, if you have paper in your inventory, you can write it down. Then you can make a recipe book with the paper that you wrote the enchant down on. And then you can remember it!

    Finally, a proper hardcore mode!

I wonder how it would work in SMP...maybe if you die, you can only spectate and can't play on the server until reset?

posted a message on 1.9 Updates: Endermen Revised?
The current problem with Endermen I think is that they're too easy to kill.
All you have to do is get it onto a lower elevation and it can't hit you. (True of the zombies too - although I think skeletons can still shoot you as well.) Plus it's too easy to escape by jumping into water or pouring water on them.
They need to be more persistent and smart enough to avoid hazards (particularly water, but fire too). Giving them an aggro 'radius' would also make them harder to avoid (so you can't just walk past them, but it would have to be smaller than their 'on-sight aggro' radius), and allowing them to attack on a diagonal or smart enough to move up higher than the player makes them harder to kill. (And dodging, for those who have bows - so when you shoot, they'll either start their teleport-charge, or port 1-2 blocks to the left or right to avoid the arrow.)
And creepy sound effects would be nice.

Also, I agree that they shouldn't be able to move chests at least, because dang is that annoying.
(With that being said, it's creepy to find 'signs' of the Endermen having been around - trees missing bits out of their trunks, random pits in the ground, hey random wood block...)

Didn't really have too many of these moments once I figured out to use peaceful mode for building...At least, until I discovered spiders can climb walls. No more crenellations for me, or unglassed windows for that matter.
And skeletons can shoot surprisingly far you know.
