- Player ID (Which either can consist of the players login name, or a special ID number)
- In-game name (Which is displayed as your name, in-game, obviously)
- A new, general command, /id.
The /id command would run giving the following information, or something like it:
Current IGN: "darkparadox". Player ID: "login-name (or unique string of numbers, purchase number, etc.)". Most recent IDs: "IGNs used in the past month: etc. etc. etc.".
With some ability to look further into the past of the players previous aliases, possibly.
There could easily be two variations, one for normal players and one for OPs, with the normal player variation only providing the IGN and ID, so you can identify your friends. The OP would provide recent IDs and/or other useful information.
Bans (and other such things, that are player specific) done on a players in-game name should redirect to the player's Player ID, instead.
Of course there should be a list of unusuable content within in-game names, such as Player IDs, Login Names, In-game names in use, specified curse words, mojang staff, etc.
This would provide a way for people to keep their permissions and servers, protect their original name and IGN (and keep them seperate), make sure that people don't bypass bans to greif, etc.
I for one support this (which you should be able to tell from the wall of text), since it allows people who didn't know their login name would be their IGN, to switch it to something they would prefer, and people who are simply tired of their username or made minor errors in it to fix them (I.E. Me, who used "darkparadox", instead of "DarkParadox" and at minimum would like to fix that...)

WHY SHOULD YOU BE ON THE SERVER: The majority of servers just yell out "we have so many plugins! Join us!", and my impression of this one so far is that it's fairly lightweight. When I'm feeling up to choosing a new server I usually go by the ones with the shortest names in the list. I do warn that I'm pretty lazy when it comes to actually playing however; I spend most of my time in MineCraft chatting, and doing the occasional build.
HOBBIES: I usually waste the day away coding (C++ mostly, Visual Basic when I feel lazy), playing games (MineCraft [obviously], and mostly fighting games like Tekken), or doing some pixel art.
HOW MUCH TIME COULD YOU POSSIBLY PLAY IN A WEEK: Many, many hours is possible. I'm Admining on a different server so the time will probably be split up though, unless this server manages to drag me away. Probably 2 to 5 hours a day.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO ADD: I suppose I could say I've never been banned? Nothing else really.

2. How long have you played Minecraft?: Since Alpha, I can't possibly remember the date..
3. Have you ever been banned from a server?: Nope.
4. What type of gameplay do you like most?: No preference, but I usually play on survival servers.
I'm mostly interested in seeing how the server plays; I haven't played many RP/Classes servers.

The rules are clearly posted in the server, right when you spawn. Regardless of whether they were or not griefing is pretty much a no in almost any server. The owner of the server has crystal clear logs with proof of you being the -only person on- by joining after all of us left. It's pretty obvious that it was you, there is clearly a reason. We know everything in the server was perfectly fine before we left, and the owner made a backup of the map (griefing failed, obviously). It doesn't even matter if you know the other players, because you did it all by yourself, and they did their own griefing while we were all on (which is hilarious, because it's super easy to catch them).
On another note,
I joined up on this server yesterday, and so far it's great. OPs are very friendly and online like all of the time(unlike some other servers were they don't seem to even exist...). All the /tpa, /sethome, and such commands are nice. Very good server to mess around in and build where ever and whatever.

Date Application has been sent: 2/16/12
Reason for joining World Weavers: I really don't want all the confusing mess that other servers tend to clutter (50+ plugins does not make it fun, thank you) and so seeing this server, it's the first one I can actually want to apply to.
Rule Verification Code: [Whitebones]

Minecraft experience: Bought the game back in alpha, have played up until a little earlier than the 1.0 update [computer trouble], and now starting back up. Do not need crazy confusing servers to start back up.

going to make another post explaining to you who I am, even though this one... doesn't.]
Well, you know most, maybe all the people here, don't know me?
You might as well have used my whole name in the paragraph that
way more people -might- have known me, and the simple reason people
here don't know me is because, well, look at the post count.... [1]
So simply said, dark might mean darkebrz, or Dark, or the
rest of the people in this user search/list.
Slightly long paragraph for a simple problem? I don't know why I took the time to write it.
Anyways..... I guess I didn't get to go there..
...And now that my names been mentioned and I've posted once I might as well start posting instead of just looking around here.
