For a better look (opinion), move the location bar on the left side of both the "X" and the "Refresh" buttons. This will combine them..
So It should be:
"Arrows" "Location" "Refresh" "X" "Search Board"

Jun 9, 2012Ah, then nevermind. I thought you were seeing the "one bar" (Not both address and search bar) like the OP. My Mistake!Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
That's normal. Firefox's address bar also functions as a search bar if it thinks you aren't putting in a URL.

Haven't touched the settings, have you tried putting in something like "hello" in the URL bar and pressing enter?
Just curious, but could you provide a screenshot of what you see?
Jun 9, 2012Firefox by default still shows both the address and search bar. They have not combined them.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Try this (Orig said by treeco123, but I'm expanding) :
Right click on any open space in the toolbar at the top. Then, there should be an option to click "Customize". Once there, see if you can find the item called "Location". If you see it, click and drag it ton the toolbar at the top next to the search bar.
If you do not see the Location option, could you please provide a screenshot of what you see.

If you are going to compare two phones, make sure they are released around the same time and for the same type of people.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Comparing an old phone to a new phone will causes differences in speed and power.
I don't remember an android having voice control, thus,If it did, It will never be as accurate as siri...
Yep, it's there. Siri is a newer technology compared to what Android currently has, but it does also have it's own faults and issues.
Remember though, Apple did not invent Siri at all. They bought it and changed a few things.

Excuse me? IOS Has game center and a lot of **** android doesn't have. iPhone doesn't have to download third party software,iPhone DOES have more apps
IOS has things Android doesn't has, Android has things IOS has. Sure, iPhone doesn't have to download third party software, but neither does Android.
iPhone DOES have more apps
IOS may have more apps overall, but there are more free Android apps.
iPhone has more space than android,iPhone can handle thousands of apps,While android can only handle 100...
Depends on the phone. Unlike IOS, Android can be on many different phones and isn't locked to one specific specific company (IOS is only available for products that Apple makes, nobody else can use it.). Some phones are worse than an iPhone, some are better.
Don't listen to wiki,Its got lies.
Wikipedia has more truths than lies. :wink.gif: Wikipedia has guidelines that require sources (while yes... some have poor sources, but the majority do have good sources).
Oct 29, 2011Could you please post your full code again with all of your recent changes?Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Also, at the top of your file (right after <?php) could you add "error_reporting(E_ALL);" and see if that displays any errors at all.

$dbcon = mysql_connect(DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PSWD, DB_NAME);
Take out the DB_NAME argument.
also add "or die(mysql_error())" after mysql_connect() and mysql_select_db()
mysql_select_db('_beta', $dbcon) or die(mysql_error());
Oct 18, 2011This is not really a bug, therefore it does not need to be fixed. Doing this requires a server to have a specific setting turned off that verifies they are logged in. While yes, Notch can block his own name from being used, he can't do that for everybody. When this setting is turned off, the server doesn't care who connects and what their name is.Posted in: Legacy Support
Notch COULD disable this option, but I'm sure some people won't be too happy...

False. Java is in C:\program files\ in a 32x system. C:\Program files\ (x86) applies for 64x systems.
Actually, they are correct.
While yes, (x86) is in 64-bit Windows, it is NOT where the 64-bit applications hang out.
C:\Program Files - 64-bit Software <- This is where your wanted Java will be.
C:\Program Files (x86) - 32-Bit Software.

Jun 26, 2011Good work bringing all of your sites back up.Posted in: News
Some of you need to realize this could've happened to any place where the site is being hosted. Just because it happened with Curse doesn't make it impossible to happen anywhere else. It was extremely bad luck, and now they know how to prepare for it better. This will be a learning experience for them. Nobody is perfect, and all it takes it one bad day (or a couple of bad days) to learn how to prepare for the future.
"Why did Curse administrators take the long way around and take out four days of site usability instead of immediately getting working copies of sites up so at least they were usable?"
You have to remember that the Minecraft forums + wiki aren't the only sites they are hosting. It will take time to move all of their sites over to a different server. This will include files and the database. Then, they'll have to edit each of their sites to make them work correctly with the new server, this includes things like database connections.
Most likely the backup server won't be as powerful as their current one, so they'll have to go through all of their sites and strip various features that could add pressure to the server.
This is all assuming they have a backup server.
Their future plans should invest into more than one data center + servers and have mirror copies of their sites. This way, if one place fails (hardware, power failure, weather), the other mirror sites should still be working fine.
