I really do like RTG trees because they are truly so much better than vanilla, but it would just be the cherry on top of the sundae if RTG trees had Dynamic Trees support. ^.^


    Im still playing on 1.7.10 as well!

    Is there no way to choose which biomes you dont want to spawn anymore with 1.12?

    I havent played Minecraft in awhile, but I remember being able to set biomes not to spawn in the old config.

    The only dead trees that generate with RTG on its own are the ones in the Swampland and Swampland M biomes. Unfortunately, there isn't a config option to disable individual trees yet, so the only way you could disable them would be to disable all the RTG trees that generate in the Swamp biomes, which means you'd lose the Swamp Willows as well.

    To do that, go into the biome config for Swampland and Swampland M, and set "RTG Tree Density Multiplier"=0

    I'll put in a feature request for the ability to disable individual trees, so hopefully that will be in a future release soon.

    I love the swamp willows, so I will just put up with the dead swamp trees.
    Its good to know that I may be able to disable them in the future.
    Are you still planning on implementing new tree types eventually?

    If you want to remove the dead trees you can create biome overrides for them.
    In the biome subdirectory of BoP's config directory (config/biomesoplenty/biomes), create 5 text files named dead_forest.json, dead_swamp.json, lush_desert.json, ominous_woods.json, and wasteland.json
    In each of those files, put this text:

    {
        "generators":
        {
            "trees":
            {
                "generators":
                {
                    "dead_tree": 
                    {
                        "amountPerChunk": 0
                    }
                }
            }
        }
    }


    Or, you can drop Treecapitator and use Veinminer.


    No, I dont use BoP. Only RTG.

    Hi!
    I was wondering if there is any way to disable spawning of the dead trees in 1.10.2. I looked through the config and couldnt find a setting that pertained specifically to them. I love the rest of the trees, but really dislike the dead trees, since treecapitator doesnt work on them, since they have no leaves.

    Hi. I just wanted to let you know, this mod seems to have an issue working with mo-creatures.
    It overrides the mo-creatures mob settings, so that mobs I have turned off in mo-creatures are still spawning.

    Just wanted to make you aware :)

    Cliffs and overhangs are things that are planned for the RTG rewrite, if we ever get around to it. I'm not sure if any new features like that will be added to the current RTG generation.

    Have you fixed the issue where villages always seem to spawn on the side of a hill, or over a ravine, and are broken into unusable pieces, when there is a flatish area nearby that wouldve been a perfect spot for a village spawn?

    LexManos has taken it over, from what I understand. Forge is his only source of income atm, which is why Im concerned about it.

    Tried the new generator and have been stuck on building terrain for about 20 minutes. Is this normal?

    Also, Im confused about the biome slider. it appears you can either choose to spawn all biomes, or only one kind of biome? There is no way to choose, say, 4 biomes to spawn? Why would they make it like this? It makes no sense :(

    Does anyone know if they ever plan on actually fixing the swamps? I know there was a whole thread dedicated to convincing them to fix them, but never heard if anything became of it. I know they blurred the edges so they dont look as bad, and made the water not as icky, but are they going to leave the rest of it looking like there has been an oil spill forever? Does anyone know? Has anyone heard anything? Ive looked but cant find an answer to this question, so I would love it if someone knew the answer and could pass it on to me!
