Information
Immortal Realms is a PVE / PVP server with lots of freebuild kicked in. IR is a 24/7 BETA server with friendly and helpful staff. We are also a 'pure server' or 'vanilla server'. What does this mean? It means -no one- on this server uses /item, /give or /time. Time cycles are as intended by Notch. Items are NEVER spawned. We will only use cuboids if we have the blocks necessary to create the cuboid, or if someone pays for those resources with the in-game economy.

IR supports mostly back-end plugins for anti-grief and administrative tools for a smoother experience for all. Here is the list of plugins we use.

RULES
The rules are STILL simple here: No excessive griefing. If you put lava everywhere, you'll probably be banned. If you raid someones unprotected house, well, that's PvP! No excessive profanity. I don't care about cursing as long as it's not excessive. It's subjective, and we'll let you know if it's too much. Also, racism or harassment of any kind will earn you a kick, mute or BAN. NO 1x1 TOWERS. Those are the dumbest thing to happen to minecraft. If you need to mark your house or town or farm or whatever, BE CREATIVE. Make a lighthouse, or something that's easy to see but not a single tower of cobblestone. Respect the staff. If you're told something, DO IT. Don't argue. Arguing is not only pointless, but very annoying to everyone. If an admin or mod asks you or tells you to do something, just do it. If you have a smart mouth (fingers?) you'll be punished as we see fit.
This is a PVP / PVE SERVER. Don't whine about being killed or griefed. Grief on here is unnecessary block placement. Your house got destroyed by someone? That's PVP. Got killed? PVP. Spiders in your house? PVE. Deal with it.
VIP Rank
Of course, every server requires cash money to operate. As this comes out of the admin's pocket, we will reward anyone who is kind enough to donate with a VIP Rank. This rank gives special privileges.

Access to use buckets for lava and water Access to Flint and Steel (When I can allow this with plugins)
$6-10 donation Custom Color Name (Bukkit currently doesn't allow this. Once we can do it, we'll give it back!)

1 Free Cuboid protection of a *reasonable* size! Reserved Slot Access for 30 days (Bukkit ain't done! )
Donations also get an amount of in-game currency (MineCash) for each dollar donated. (This is still applicable!)
Donations are strictly optional. I do not expect nor require them to be able to play. Donations just give you the above extra bonus features and that is all.
Donating does not exempt you from the rules. If you break a rule, you'll still get punished. One would expect this to be known, but it has to be said, I suppose.
I disabled creepers temporarily because they were being used to grief... I hope Dademon does not object, but something needs to be worked out there. I'm thinking of adding a rotine to check if they are in someones property, and if they are, not allowing them to detonate, only attack.

CuboidPlugin does disable creeper explosions, but only if the creeper is in the protected area. If he's just outside and explodes next to it, it will still destroy any blocks/chests. Part of notch-code.
Also, several plugins, cuboid and realms specifically, can disable global creeper explosions. Creepers can still spawn this way, but are rather pointless if they don't explode anywhere. :smile.gif:
I really love this server, but, man oh man, the stability is never consistent. Most of the other servers I go to that are dedicated are literally 24/7, unless a major update is on the way.
To tell you the truth, this is probably one of my most favorite servers that I've been to so far. The only flaw I'm really seeing is the occasional shut-down serv. problem.

The server is "not" 24/7 yet. We're in a test phase where we're experimenting with settings to get the optimal server performance.
As this is not yet listed as a 24/7 server, I should have clarified there will be downtime during the test phase.
We will announce when it is ready to be 24/7. It should be very soon, as we've chosen Debian Linux as our OS! Now onto settings!

It seems rather impossible within 5 minutes of coming into our server, you 'found' enough tnt to line someones wall and try to grief.
Considering TNT doesn't explode and the regulars know this and never make it, it's highly suspicious.
Also, you were killed and you dropped 40-something tnt.
Damn my "lame" server for banning a hacker. Damn us to heck.
