    You can never have too much! My altar has a full layer of 15x15 mixed crystal clusters 1 layer underneath my altar. And instability becomes essentially a non-issue at that point. The dangerous ones might do something once in awhile, but generally never a problem.

    Thats probably the best part of the mod, it doesn't directly hold your hand or tell you exactly how do do everything thing, especially the more advanced things. It hints and nudges and lets you experiment on how to set things up. Often times with consequence, being a thaum-mage isnt easy!


    Yes things do constantly change, and many recent changes pretty much make the majority of guides and videos completely obsolete and flat out wrong, and that can be frustrating. But again the main part of the mod is TO experiment and try things and figure them out. And at certain points you will get that "AHA!!!" moment when it starts to come together and you figure it out. It does encourage you to explore your world (how is that remotely a bad thing??) and it does take time and a lot of work to get things done, but again.. that is kinda the point.


    If you ever have question ask here (there's a reason this post is 1000+ pages long, and probably one of the most active post on this forum) Everyone comes to figure things out together, read the posts, ask questions, and mainly read that thauminomicon thoroughly! Yes it does speak in riddles and hints, but that intentional so you have to use a little problem solving to fully take advantage of things.


    This is hands down my favorite mod for minecraft for those exact reasons (a puzzle, a challenge, time consuming, not holding my hand... and of course all the cool stuff it adds!!), if those aren't your thing, the mod just might not be for you.

    Thats pretty much what I was going for. I'll look into the crystilization process and go from there.

    I'll just have to revery to just moving the bottles over one at a time as needed then. Its not a hard process was just hoping the golems could do my bidding some more (been playing thaumcrfat for ages and only recently started doing any large works with golems)

    Sorry if this has been brough up...



    With the Alchemical Construct, is there any way to make golems work with it? The description for the alchemy core makes it sound like it would bring essentia to it if assigned to the jars (the core entry mentions bringing essentia to essentia using devices), but I just cant seem to get it working.

    I have tried placing the golem on all sides (including top) of the construct, and the crucible. I have all the essentia needed and items needed as well.



    Is this just not implemented, not working for now, or just now how its supposed to work?

    I like the idea of being over lava, and it slowly sucks it up as you use it. And also maybe make it so it has to be under a certain level to work (like 25- or something) Just adds that little bit that takes a bit of extra work for nearly unlimited diamonds.

    Just added the current version to my LAN world and will be sure to make full use of it once i stockpile some coal / lava buckets.

    Love the basic idea, got a few questions and a few ideas to improve upon it..

    Is it coal only? or does it also work with charcoal?

    Can you setup some kind of hopper system to fill as it goes? Or do you need to add the full stack at once?



    For Fuel maybe make it require a full bucket or two of lava? not a huge amount of fuel but it adds just a little bit more to the process.

    Also maybe add in a second input for it to be 2 full stacks? (possibly a config option?)



    Will be sure to keep an eye on this mod and will most likely add it into my personal modpack :D

    Is there any chance at getting a bit more of an advanced config for the various added food crops?

    At the moment its an all or nothing type deal and it would be nice to either disable specific food seeds, or at the very least have some form of control over how often they drop.

    I would take a look at

    Generally speaking you should remove optifine first to see if that fixes things. Optifine does some funky things that breaks alot of mods in general.

    I don't know how to combine both mods so world generation is better in Biomes O Plenty.

    It is unlikely that they will be compatible with each other. He is basically rewriting the entire generation code for each biome. Its not impossible that there may be some mod integration in the future, but it will most likely take a lot of work to re-create each biome using his rules.

    I have not tested it yet, but I do have it setup. I just havnt had the time to play as much as normal.

    But from the description I think the balancing will work very well. Nice and simple, yet very useful - my favorite style of mods :)
