Sorry I forgot to mention I already know how to port forward just fine, I have even gone into the manual of my router and checked the specific process, and that doesn't work. Thank you for the response though!
if it still doesnt work, try using just one router (your dual router/modem), and login to that.
two routers on one network does not work. (i've tried)
336. Take a hammer from the hardware section, take it to the video game section, smash open the locked up mario games, take them out and go to the food section to smash some mushrooms with the discs of the games.
You should do this all on the computer you're running the server on.
1. open your command prompt (in windows), and type in "ipconfig" (without the quotes), and there's your internal ip (under "IPv4 Address")
2. to get in your router to port forward, get into the webpage of your router by typing in your Default Gateway (find it with ipconfig)
in a web browser.
3. Go to your Port Forwarding page. (it should be named Port Forwarding or virtual servers)
4. type in your port for the server (25565 normally), your internal ip address, TCP type
5. Submit and connect.
There's not a lot of things that it can't do compared to a desktop, but here are some things that might be useful.
- a small web server
- use the GPIO
- a HTPC (home theater pc), it can do 1080p HD fine
- try out other OSes

In a lot of routers, it can keep the internal ip from changing.
Just go in your router's webpage settings (usually http://192.168.1.1), and set it up.
