    ....Where's the download?

Thanks for catching that...having a lot of bizarre trouble with trying to edit in an embedded trailer (the post kept ending up as a bunch of HTML code...) and I'd had to go back to an earlier "draft" of the post that I'd saved. I'd just forgotten to add in the link. It's up now, sorry about that!

    Queued!

Yeah, I know Fellonius was hoping you and dadsRfunny would do a "Flint and Steel" playthrough of this...anyway, best of luck as you try to save the country!

I do believe I will give this map a download and then try to record some footage of it for my YouTube Channel.

Well, if you do an LP feel free to post the first episode on the thread! Hope you like the map!

    Fellonius the Wizard
In association with Proberoo, cpm4001 and jGazMom
    Presents:

An Adventure Story in Four Parts for 1 to 2 players

    Trailer:

Story, as explained by the Director/Producer, Fellonius the Wizard:

In the Year Of 1813, three great nations took a peace oath, that should last as long as the three

treasures did. Two of these treasures are gone for a long time. The three nations were the mighty

Aztec indians from South America, the great Samela Indian tribes from Mid-America, and lastely

the newly formed Northern American Union, led by president James Madison. This peace treaty

became forgotten by most, and the treasures were only presented once each centennial. \
And now it's time again, on July 4th, 2014.

The last of the treasures is an Aztec Helment of Gold, given to the The American Union, and

empowered with all the old knowledge of the old Incas and Aztecs. But when the National Museum

of NotsoKnown American History should check on it, the helment had disintegrated. It had rusted

away and all it's power was gone! If USA can't show the Helment, it will be at war with both the old

Aztecs as well as several Indian tribes, led by the hidden Samelas. It will be a war against enemies from within, and it may last for at least 200 years!

There's only one organization, that can handle this problem: WATTS. Its secretive leader Gordon Flux will gather the top four Troubleshooters, in order to prevent disaster:

    • The Deliverer Jim McClone who never fails, even if there will be lots of stuff to repair afterwards, hopefully paid by the government

    • The Professor Tennesse Jed, knowing perhaps all uninteresting there is to know about Indian Lore,

    • The Sciencer Angela O'Shea, stocked with all practical High School knowledge and common sense, plus some urge to let things blow up,

    • and the most important piece in the Team Puzzle, the Time Jockey Dr What, with the ability to move through time, without too much ripples on the Chrono Web, or at least, that's what What says.

In order to Save the U.S.A., WATTS needs to retrieve an aztec helment, (not necessary the original), load it up with the Aztec Knowledge and Power, collected through bottles o'enchantments, enchant the helment to give it it's original spark and luster by placing it in the newly built enchantment table, and deliver the helment to National Museum of NotsoKnown American History.

And all this without letting the awful enemies CLEM know anything.

    How Can I Help?

If you believe you can help save the country, download the map from the "Download" section below and follow the instructions to get it running on your operating system.
Please note you will need Minecraft Version 1.6.2.

    To Play the Map:
    • On a Windows:

    1) Download the map from the link below. As it is a direct link to Mediafire, you will not have to worry about navigating ad.fly or anything like that.
    2) Transfer the .zip file to your desktop.
    3) Go to your Start menu, and search for %appdata%. Navigate to the "Roaming" folder, then to the ".minecraft" folder and finally the "saves" folder.
    4) Unzip the .zip file and move or copy the "The Adventurers 1.0 (1.6.2)" folder from it to your saves file.
    5) Start Minecraft normally, open the map as you would a normal save file, and have fun!
    • On a Macintosh:

    1) Download the map from the link below. As it is a direct link to Mediafire, you will not have to worry about navigating ad.fly or anything like that.
    2) Transfer the .zip file to your desktop
    3) Navigate to Finder/Application Support/minecraft/saves
    4) Unzip the .zip file and move or copy the "The Adventurers 1.0 (1.6.2)" folder from it to your saves file.
    5) Start Minecraft normally, open the map as you would a normal save file, and have fun!
    • For Multiplayer:

    1) Download the map from the link below. As it is a direct link to Mediafire, you will not have to worry about navigating ad.fly or anything like that.
    2) Transfer the .zip file to your desktop
    3) Set up and run a server as described on the official Minecraft Wiki. Once all files have been generated, shut the server down.
    4) In your "world" folder, delete all existing files. Unzip the "The Adventurers" .zip file, and copy all the files from within the "The Adventurers 1.0 (1.6.2)" folder. Move these to your (now empty) "world" folder.
    5) To play this map in multiplayer, you must have Command Blocks enabled on the server. To do this, navigate and open the "server.properties" file in a text editor. Find the line "enable-command-block". Replace the word "false" at the end with "true".
    6) Run the server, and connect to it as you normally would. Have fun playing the map with friends!

I Still Don't Understand This Map.

Perhaps the following screenshots will help:

Come see The Adventurers at this theater, while purchasing Ridiculously Overpriced Snacks!

Can the brave Time Jockey, Dr. What, "obtain" the Aztec Helmet from this Temple?
Or will he get caught by irate Aztecs?

Will Angela O'Shea survive the secrets of this Sinister Laboratory?
And how much of it will she blow up?

How will Tennessee Jed get the Sacred Diamonds from this cliff dwelling without succumbing to heat, traps, and low special effect budgets?

Finally, will Jim McClone succeed in saving the occupants of this bus from a fate about as bad as death, while delivering the vital treasures to save the country?
Or will the combined efforts of CLEM and McClone's nerdy nephew Des make him fail?

    Other Information:
    • jGazMom has made some fantastic custom skins for use with this map! They are included in the .zip file. They are completely optional, but if you wish to use them you will find further information as to which ones you should use when in the first HQ in the map.
    • If you wish to do a Let's Play of this map, feel free!

After playing "The Flood", I thought I'd go back and replay the original "Eronov Mansion Adventure". The first time I played it, I got the average ending and filled the 'Explorer's Gold Jar' exactly half filled. This time, this happened:

    Hehe!

Okay, so, I replayed this and succeeded in getting a perfect score. Then I walked around the nice happy peaceful (and drying out) village of Eronov and saw the guy in the town center. I noticed he was saying that
"This little guy seems to have lost his parents."
I then remembered that when you rescue the fellow on the cliff (the one where you get the jump boost potion - which was an amazing effect, incidentally) his name is
    "Future Hero"
    .
Anyway, I'm gonna take a wild stab here and say that this guy is
the player's character from the original Eronov Mansion Adventure.
Correct? Or is it a secret pending more Eronov Chronicle maps?

Wow. Let me just say right now, this map is great!
Now, for a more in-depth review:
I LOVE the builds. I'm perpetually amazed, as someone who can't work in the default texture pack, by the things that people can do in it. Every building is amazingly detailed and realistic but also unique from every other one - just like a real town.
The mechanics are outstanding, too. I have a soft spot for point-and-click/text-based adventures and you did a great job pulling off a game like that in Minecraft, which doesn't cater to that style too easily.
I liked the story, too. I haven't seen "Groundhog Day" but I do know the plot; this is definitely a homage to it without being a rip-off. But who doesn't like to see a mean guy turn nice? I thought the multiple endings were neat, too - they add a lot to the map's replayability (I ended up getting the girl)
I had some difficulty weeding my way through the gameplay (I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to take the girl out on a date, for example) but after looking at the 'Player's Guide' I was able to figure everything out no problem. I really appreciate you putting that together - for someone like me who tends to panic when something's "timed" (even when it really isn't) I like to have a guide at hand I can turn to.
So, again, excellent map! I've gotta go replay it now.

Very fun map; I really liked the way you took the "base" Eronov Mansion Adventure map and remade it slightly.
Here's my score (apologies that some of the text is a bit blurry - not the best screen resolution in the world):

Didn't do too badly, I don't think. Got a bit upset at the end because I pressed the "Time Dilator™" button after all the beacons went out and got stuck with the "You're so heartless" ending, even though I'd rescued everyone I could. Ah, well, guess I'm not getting elected mayor of Eronov anytime soon...
Anyway, great map! I'll be more than happy to play any new 'Eronov Chronicles' maps you make.

I wanted to let you know that I will not be participating in this map; I had quite a good idea for an entry but I've found it impossible to capture the mood I want using the default texture pack (even with different "times of day".)
Good luck to other entrants, and I'll be sure to check this map out once it's released.

I finally finished this last Beta version up, and the only major bug I found was in Toad3's "Mutiny Bay" entry. Here, in the exit that you can take if you "buy" the ship, a repeater is reversed so that two command blocks with /say commands run fine but the one that's meant to teleport you out doesn't work.
I found no other major bugs; a lot of misspellings but that's no big deal.

I just finished playing through the map and think it's good; only found a couple problems:
    1. As I believe Black_Drath noted, the looping gets kinda old. I got caught in a constant loop which routed me through my entry something like 4-5 times (yeah, I like it, but I've played it a lot too!) But it sounds like you're going to revise the story "flow".
    2. In an entry, I think the one where you can choose to release a prisoner, escape, or let loose an angry dog (not sure whose that is), you can climb up some iron bars and jump out of the map.
    3. In Vladimyr's entry (at least I'm assuming the Chronotide level is his), you are supposed to trip a BUD switch that spits out a book that tells you what to do next. For me, the book dispensed but then vanished - not sure if it fell through a block or what. I ended up just deducing what to do next. So, I don't know if that's a bug with the entry or a problem on Mojang's end.
Anyway, apart from those issues, it's a great map!
