Need a super flat area where it doesn't rain. Is a super flat desert possible?

    The fewer features the better.

    I second this request.

I'm building an outer space setting. The rain and thunderstorms kind of ruin that.

How about 1/2 block slabs that can be stacked vertically rather than just horizontally. That would help some construction issues.

have you ever thought to build your space station in "The End"? The "Spacey" background seems perfect, oh and it doesn't rain in The End (or Nether).

    just an idea.

Thought about it and decided against it. I've stopped the day/night cycle at night and have a nice starry backdrop with a quarter moon above the horizon. My construction is 50 blocks up and it looks quite convincing. I've built a giant umbrella a few hundred blocks up to block the rain, but when a thunder storm rolls in, it sort of ruins the effect.

Double gates that act like double doors (not levitating in mid-air).

A set-up option for being able to toggle off the weather entirely.

(I'm building a Mass Effect space station, and the last I looked it doesn't rain in space.)

posted a message on Creative Question - Night?

After playing survival since the PS3 version came out, I've decided to play around with Creative Mode. I see that there is a setting for stopping the day/night cycle. Here's my question: Is it possible to make it night all the time?

I'm really enjoying this seed and have set up shop in one of the villages. As for the jungle section has anyone seen any ocelots? I've been looking but haven't spotted one yet.

Wow, this is great. I would have preferred a slightly larger jungle area. I doubt I'm going to find any ocelots. :'-( I've set up shop in the peninsula village on the west coast with another outpost on one of the "sky islands". Thanks for sharing!

Dude, Wolfs naturally kill Sheeps (likely they're angry to sheeps) so it's not a bug.

I know WOLVES attack sheep, but this was a tamed DOG. Prior to 1.05 I didn't have a problem with Fido attacking my sheep. I'm wondering if something happened with the update, or if it was just that particular dog, or I was just freakishly lucky that the dog didn't attack the sheep before updating. Thoughts?

So I started a new game after I updated to 1.05 and put together an animal pin using a 2-high cobblestone wall. I had gathered together two cows, two sheep and a pig. I'd leave an extra single block on the outside and lead them over the wall with treats. I didn't have any problem with them glitching out, but did notice one of the cows hiding embedded in the corner for a while.

So one day I'm out in the forest gathering wood and come across a wolf. I tamed him with a couple of bones that I had with me and he happily trotted behind me as I made my way home. As I walked passed my animal pen, the dog made a sharp right, jumped into the animal pin and killed my sheep!

It made me sad, but I had to put him down. Once they get the taste for fresh sheep there's no stopping them. Anyone else have trouble with this since the patch?
