Do you have teamspeak?: [This will not effect your chance, it just is a better experience if you do!] No
Describe your experience with Minecraft servers: Very good; I have been a contributing member on each that I've dedicated myself toward.
Have you ever been banned? If so, for what?: Once, but because the server was operated by a clique of little kids (will explain if prompted)
Would you be interested in participating in building with others to create massive cities or towns?: Yes
Why are you interested in joining this server?: I've been looking for one to call my home; preferably a small survival server with a good community.

What is your Minecraft username: coreracer15

    How old are you: 17

How long have you been playing Minecraft: Roughly 4 years

Do you accept our rules: As of the writing of this application, yes.

What type of player are you: I am a player that wants to have a home away from home in a server where the community is as connected as it is civil and ethical. I will generally build off in solitude, though I love trading and interacting with players. The pranks I may occasionally pull will be without grief.

What can you offer to our community: I will be a consistent, civil member, who will hopefully add to the atmosphere in terms of hospitality, level headedness, and a visionary.

Any questions or clarification: I've already asked you most of them in-game already :)

E-mail address (optional): I will disclose it to you privately

Favorite Part About Minecraft: I have no favorite aspect. The building, the exploring, the surviving, the communing are all what I enjoy.
1-2 Sentences about why you play well in a community: I'm a bit of a hermit, but to the welfare of the server and to the general economy I will be a good asset. I play well and kindly, act civilly and proceed with actions carefully. But I hope my character will show you how I am, rather than have my words tell you.
Anything Else?: I hope this is a community worth entrusting my time with.

posted a message on Am I the only one that dislikes the mossy cobble in Mega Taigas?
    Quote from DarkForce2000

You have to remember that not everyone plays Minecraft in the PvE survival sense. A lot of people like to just build. Getting the resource; mossy cobble, is difficult, so having it placed there is useful.

Useful, I can't argue with. Though I feel like it doesn't look the most natural, as it looks as though the land is dotted with the remnants of above ground dungeons...

I always thought of the mossy cobblestone as a dungeon-harvested treat that shows you've conquered a dungeon or two, almost like a trophy of your success. The fact that mossy cobblestone, a block that looks remarkably man-made, is generating in clumps in Mega Taigas does not seem correct to me. If anything, I would prefer if they created a Mossy Stone block instead to have it generate, rather than the infamous dungeon-beheld mossy cobblestone.
What do you guys think? Should mossy cobblestone continue generating in Mega Taigas? Should it be replaced by a different block, or just removed altogether?

This guy should get a medal.

He shouldn't get a medal. Why should someone be supported for shooting down constructive criticism to a newly added feature? This forum is called Recent Updates and Snapshots, where...
Any discussion of the most recent update belongs in this section, or recently released Snapshots.

Discussion of the most recent updates and snapshots belongs here, not let's-just-talk-about-how-much-we-like-the-snow-caps-in-extreme-hills!!!! kind of support. The OP is not whining or complaining, he is presenting a legitimate concern he holds towards the new Mesa biome to alleviate any kind of problems that might spike up down the road. Is that so wrong?

posted a message on After getting a taste of 1.7 Do you think that the terrain is better?
I have mixed feelings. While I love the new biomes and generation code, I feel like the temperature based generation groupings has extremely lowered the rate of Dry biomes (Deserts, Savannahs, Mesas, Jungles?) and Snow biomes (Cold Taiga, Ice Plains, Ice Plains Spikes). Meanwhile, Cold and Temperate biomes (everything else) are extremely common and generally easy to find. The new flowers are gorgeous and awesome but I almost feel like they're a bit too common, or stick out a bit - which may or may not be a bad thing - but it's certainly something to add to your consideration of the new generation code.
While the roofed forests are very awesome, I feel like they're almost too short. I wouldn't want them to be consistently tall either, though, but rather have a wide variation of tree sizes in there, each contributing to an elaborate canopy of leaves that would create a dangerous shadow system on the forest floor below.
Of course, it'd be nice for snow to generate under leaves when terrain is being generated, so there isn't random grass splotches around tree trunks in Cold Taiga and Ice Plains biomes. I think it'd be nice to change the Ice Plains to also have 3-4 layers of snow blocks to act as a Minecrafty permafrost system, as well.
I have a lot more critique for it, but those are my main concerns. I don't have faith that they'll administer to any of them, but besides them the terrain is looking very nice. I mostly miss being able to find Hot/Snowy biomes without having to travel thousands of blocks.

posted a message on Before 1.6: 'Minecraft is too easy!' after 1.6: 'Minecraft is too hard!'
    Quote from GerbilCrab475

It's not hard though. It's just annoying. Zombies were supposed to be the most pathetic mobs and they still are. They are not like the super fast Zombie Pigmen. I should keep my mouth shut, I don't want them to raise their speeds.

I hope you're joking, zombies are horribly scary now (to me, anyway). I almost got killed in a cave several times by being surprised by their spawning. It's fantastic, Minecraft is scary again for me. It's an amazing implementation.

What are your plans for the server?: I plan to enjoy a nice vanilla experience on SMP.

Have you read and do you agree to the rules?: Wholeheartedly.

Something I still don't understand is why we can't feed horses plain wheat, if we can feed them wheat in 9 servings.

You can't? That's how I tamed a horse today... is that something new in 1.6.2?

    - Have you made an account on IZZEcraft forums? (If this is a no, get one and make it a yes!): I will right after this is posted.

    - Maturity (on a scale of 1 to 10, do not putt 11 or higher): 8.5

    - How active will you be on the server?: As active as I can manage, roughly an hour a day at least.

    - Tell us a little about yourself(In Minecraft of course, but getting your schedule couldn't hurt): I'm a generally well spirited and mannered individual, hoping to be a positive addition to your community while also allowing myself to kick back and enjoy myself in a civil manner.

posted a message on Snapshot is awesome. And why it brought me back.
Glad to finally see someone who appreciates the new changes for the good they bring. The new health loss = food loss resembles something of the old health system back in Beta and Alpha: which is extremely good, as it keeps the hunger bar functionality and brings the difficulty the old health system sustained. It's just genius.

    posted a message on Concerns
You're ignorant if you're saying that it's wrong to want the game harder and wrong to want the game easier, with what Minecraft's standing as right now. Mobs are becoming gear checks, killable only if you have decent enough gear or a trap system of some sort. While some may see this good, the problem doesn't exist in mobs being difficult, but in the player being too powerful.
