Sweet. I opened up MC to try the new snapshot and it said "Seecret Friday update." So is Mojang telling us the update will be Friday?
No, the Seecret Friday Updates were Infdev - Alpha. It's a normal splash-screen.

In other news, I'll be coming back to the VB either tonight or tomorrow night to do some building in Panores. It's been a while, I know, and no I don't have the totem design done (it's being a pain :tongue.gif: ), but I have a bunch of other building designed and ready for construction, including a really nice building for Kulshan. ;D
Hope to see some of the new stuff in-person as well. You guys have done TONS while I've been gone :ohmy.gif:

With the Minecraft community being so much bigger now than back when Ecrider was the king of architecture and people didn't complain about updates (and still played Survival Test), having one big celebration for everybody would be virtually impossible, unless you had some contacts with the right people to host a super-server for SMP. This year, we are most likely to celebrate in groups or on our own, or by watching some awesome streams & videos. So my question to you all is this:
How will YOU be celebrating Minecraft's Birthday?
Myself, I'll be celebrating by finishing my re-write of the Mega Tribus thread, and thus working more on my three Mega-Projects (including DigiCraft) & playing on the Voxel Box for the first time in months. :3
Oh, and by build a Mojang temple with a hand-crafted Mojang cake to nom on.
Remember: Minecraft's birthday is on the 10th, and the B-Day celebrations 'unofficially' run through the 17th (the day that Minecraft Creative - the first public version of Minecraft - was released).

Yeah, I forgot to light the insides of the towers up. ^-^;

The TL turned out nice. Love watching my indecision on how to fix my missplaced-adminium mistake, and of course being chased by away by :SSSS:s at HIGH SPEED. Turned out as a good first timelapse. As for the next one... hehehe... ;D
BTW, this building is based off a castle design I'm using in Adventureland (Mega Tribus). Unlike the original enormous castle, the interior of the towers are not used here because both the position & size of the towers in relation to the throne room don't allow for anything usefull to be put inside. They're just there to make the build look cooler.
Also, I ended up befriending those wolves that you see walking around at the fly-around (the wolves you see in the beginning were already mine - they sit next to my throne). Those wolves now populate the build.
Oh, and he's the blueprint I used to build this:

Voted 'sometimes'.

It's an awesome job you did, though. Good work.

The easiest way I know of to find any type of apples is to kill Notch in SMP and get his golden apple. ;D

Also,
I don't have one. :tongue.gif:

Oh, just blowing up Halcion again.
Kidding, kidding. XD
Glad to see your still around (or, at least, alive). :3

I agree that placing a bunch of HQs in the frozen Yarg, and that putting them all in one city, wouldn't work out well. Most HQs would likely best fit in the city where their franchises started (Like making Catapult Cafe's HQ in Zair, or my own Voxatron Inc. being headquartered in the Twin Towers (under interior construction) in Kulshan). If a company doesn't have a original location in a city, it would likely be best to place in near the sea or (preferably) near a VoxelPort for easy travel to it. The Trade Cities would actually be a good place to house some new HQ's, I think. It's location, name, and the fact that not much has been done with it yet makes it a good candidate in my book.
PS. I hope to be back on the Voxel Box by the end of next week. I've been trying to focus on my SSP projects lately, especially my Adventure map. Plus, I really needed to just take a break from the Voxel Box and let my imagination wander (and let the stress I always build up in SMP subside). I should hopefully be fully refreshed by ze 25th, be ready to finish up some Kulshan builds, and have a design ready to build a special Totem in Sealth... ;D
EDIT: #1600! Woo! :biggrin.gif:

It's a Spartan who's wind surfing using a Pega-Dachshund. Surely you've heard about them before? :3
Also, 1600. :biggrin.gif:

The new map looks great - I love the glow effect you added around Panores. ;D
Though I have to ask... what happened to the piece of land that used to create a small lake on the south-east edge of the peninsula of Panores, at the base of the mountain where the radio tower is? I had planned to put an outpost out there after the cities were done (don't worry about putting it back, as I had no blueprints made for the outpost yet), so I'm a bit curious 'bout the reason. :3

Yeah... it was a generation glitch.
And a 23 hour play-through, as well.
