hey I'm mod on a server (not a cheap advert here) and we need help. I'm not looking for someone to come on and need op to do something, actually I'm just really asking for ideas. we currently have two mini games with one more on the way waiting to be updated to 1.7.9, survival towny lottery and a pvp arena. we advertise a lot and have been going for about 8 months. we really need more players, the first few months we had about 7-12 players on average and about 30 players a day. then we got up to about 12-20 players on average and 100-150 players total a day if you include minechaters. but now we are about 5-7 players a day and about 12-15 players a day total.... i have no idea it really happened in about 3 days span! i have no idea were we dos'd in a light way? do we need to add more? i had though add 3 more worlds would be best so a total of 4 (towny, pvp, creative, and cheater [such as you can buy any items and you can fly]) i love the people on this server and I've invested lots of time into it (I've played about 650 hours total play time on it). this server means a lot to me and i really don't want it to die so please give me ideas.
so. steve is a beast! he can carry megatons in his pocket! he can kill a dragon and survive zombie horde! he can dark a bow in .5 second! oops, that last one isn't right. i mean seriously if he can do all the can he not draw a bow a little faster? its not a bid inconvenience but it adds up, this isn't a big change just an improvement! like maybe thru an enchant (fibrous I, II, III) on the bow to make it draw faster. not too op, not to useless. i think it'd be a nice addition to the game! post your support (or tha lack thereof, but pleas be civil) and why you like it!
full support! I've seen it one other place (in the better nether mod) but even it was different there. it time soul sand did something besides being used for traps and being ugly and obnoxious!
really? vampires? werewolves? we need creative mobs like the creeper (nothing on earth or in books and movies like that). plus why does everything have to be dark and demonic! no support.
i. would. carry water (blabla) fire prot. (yes yes) and cheep blocks (ik ik) all the basic stuff nothing to mind blowing :/
as for ex after you kill the dragon build away from the main island and build a ender farm. lots of vids on youtube. you can get 30 levels in like 20-30 mins this way. need loootttsss of pistons though XI.

hey I'm trying to install mccapes and i have whatched many many many youtude vids already so please don't suggest that and ik exactly what to do and i have followed every step to the finest detail and have experimented with every way possible but it won't let me elect my modded version as the version to load up and play with.... its driving me crazy I've tried multiple times over the last 3 months to no avail.... i wish modding was as easy as it was in 1.5 and before....
I've been banned for not telling ppl my age. and i logged on a another server i was mod on and they said "cmposercrafte" and then i was banned with "the ban hammer has spoke"
You really should have some idea of what Java is and how it is used before modding, it will help a lot. Mazetar has some links to some great free courses and other stuff as well....I have seen most of them and they are really helpful. I have found that when I started modding I had little knowledge of Java, about 2 college semesters, was helpful, but I needed more because I kept getting stuck a lot. After some nice videos, and those classes linked by Mazetar I got a bit better. I still find myself asking for help but not nearly as much.
i need help learning how to mod. i want to learn computer programming and i think modding is a great place to starting. so if you know where to start id appreciate it
