Hey, I hope its not too much to ask but could you add two more features.
1- Patrol & guard. Just like in spc where you choose two block positions to create a range, the dog item is to be used to set these positions. The dogs would then walk about looking for enemies and kill them. 2 block high walls could pose a restriction to where they go within the range.
2 - follow and guard. Dog/s work to create a safe buffer zone around select mob/s or the player. I anticipate using this with herd craft and tfc. Also they shouldn't attack tame animals.

The gaur is the largest species of wild cattle, bigger than the Cape buffalo, water buffalo and bison.The gaur is dark brown, approaching black in very old individuals; the upper part of the head, from above the eyes to the nape of the neck, is, however, ashy gray, or occasionally dirty white; the muzzle is pale coloured, and the lower part of the legs pure white. They are the heaviest and most powerful of all wild cattle. Males have a highly muscular body, with a distinctive dorsal ridge and a large dewlap, forming a very powerful appearance. Females are substantially smaller, and their dorsal ridge and dewlaps are less developed.
Gaur are largely confined to hilly areas in which there are evergreen and moist forests.

For thousands of years, European forests and grasslands were inhabited by majestic animals – aurochs, large wild cattle with dark coat and large horns. Due to overhunting from the roman era to until 1627 when the last auroch died in Poland.

The Irish Elk or Giant Deer, was the largest deer that ever lived. It lived in Eurasia, from Ireland to east of Lake Baikal, during the Late Pleistocene and early Holocene. The latest known remains of the species have been carbon dated to about 5,700 BC, or about 7,700 years ago. The Giant Deer is famous for its formidable size (about 2.1 meters or 7 feet tall at the shoulders), and in particular for having the largest antlers of any known deer.
