Don't forget there seems to be a clear lack of mentioning of the fact that LEGALLY in the US you have to be able to submit to this contest without paying a dime.

Hmm, all 4 of the links in your thread work for me, can you clarify which links are/aren't working? Here's what I see:

Fortunately Mediafire URLs don't require the file name to be included, for example if your URL is:
You can cut the entire final segment off and instead post:
That URL will redirect to the same page and is completely valid.
Let me know if that helps, if not I can investigate your post further.

I have already responded to a question regarding Off Topic in post #14:

That was poor communication on my behalf, we will not be banning science from this forum. Metadigital has plans to return Science discussions to the Computers and Technology section (in the very near future) as long as the discussions are of relevant and appropriate science. Sorry for the confusion! I will update the announcement to be more clear.

As far as I know there is no intention of changing this, but I can check with the development team.

I learned from the previous spin-off that section (or thread) spin-offs are not a viable solution. You're welcome to create your own forum for your topics of choice if you like, as you may be aware when we shut down the chat thread another forum was launched by previous members and that forum has been a great success for them.

The concern is not that the content is not related to Minecraft, the concern is that the content is not family friendly and does not provide any value to the majority of members here. For many members of this forum they enjoy talking about video games, sharing the art they make and playing forum games, these things are all a-okay because while they are not strictly Minecraft related, they are family friendly and they are part of a community. We do not expect every member of this forum to live a life consumed by Minecraft, we do expect members of this forum to behave in a family friendly manner.
The problem with the Politics, Philosophy, Science and News section is that the topics of discussion are both against our mission (a family friendly forum for Minecraft content) and cause significant moderation overhead. We can make sacrifices for Minecraft content because we are a Minecraft forum, for example the Minecraft Server Hosting section is another section with significant moderation overhead, but we can't justify making significant sacrifices that compromise our mission for a section that provides no value to our core audience.
If it was possible to have a PPNS section that had no additional moderation overhead and that was family friendly we would have no problem retaining the section, but that isn't possible.

This forum has never claimed to be a venue for free speech, we regularly censor various types of content. Profanity, adult content, malware, illegal content, we have many restrictions on what you can and can't post here. Censorship is required to operate this forum effectively.

Example:
There are 100,000 posts in a section and 100 reports are generated
There are 1,000 posts in a section and 100 reports are generated
The percentage of reported posts in PPNS far exceeds any other section, as does all of the meta-administration required (appeals, complaints etc). For a section that directly contradicts our mission (a family friendly forum for Minecraft content) that is a major problem.

I'm sorry that this forum is no longer suitable for you, however there are many other great forums for serious discussions that you could sign up to.
As I've explained the overhead the section creates is not worth it, less than 0.04% of forum visits are to that section, 74% of visits to threads in that section result in the person closing the website. Restricting the section to a select group of members would not resolve any of the problems outlined.

This decision had to be made because we do care, we care about the forum as a whole and sometimes decisions have to be made that aren't great for every single member: that's the reality of administrating a community used by millions of people. There are hundreds of other websites on the internet that provide a great venue for discussing all of these topics, you'll be able to engage in much better discussion, learning and debate on those websites.
