The problem with using an older version of something like MCPatcher is that I've already tried using an older version, and it complains about lack of a correct minecraft directory (likely due to a lack of a minecraft.exe). Even new builds of MCPatcher have been compatible with older texture packs instead of resource packs, so I don't think that's the problem either.
I managed to get it working once by unpatching mcpatcher and finding a way to make the launcher stop reinstalling the JAR every time, but the problem I had with that was when using Optifine, HD fonts didn't work well at all. Since the last time I deleted the optifine-patched JAR I've been unable to replicate what I did to make the game functional with HD textures.
In games like Terraria and starbound, the world is easily traversible thanks to new world smoothing. That gave rise to a thought; why doesn't Minecraft do that?
What I want to see are craftable dirt/grass slabs and stairs added to world generation along with stone (not to be confused with cobblestone, obviously) slabs and stairs that are again craftable and added to world generation.
But Felix, we have stone slabs, what are you talking about?
Yes, Minecraft does, but they don't look like minecraft's natural stone. You should either give it stone's texture or allow both versions of the slab to still be craftable.
That's about it. I hope to get some feedback. Thanks.
I'm sorry guys...My mod was deleted and I lost the ambition to reinstall it and work on the map.
So, instead, I will progress in just a vanilla 1.5 map
I found s'more mods needed to play the map...Those include:
•Flan's mod (Download links will be posted)
• Portal gun mod
•Light Helmet mod...? (I'm still considering)
•Inficraft mod
•Too Much TNT mod
•Dimensional doors mod
•Infiblocks mod
•Smart moving
•Primitive mobs mod...? (Like before, still considering)
•Coder pack (comes with installer clients)
•Forge (same here with install clients)
All these mods I will attempt to make a significance upon my Minecraft Portal map... Link here for all mod installers: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gfnpygqp1u9ejix/XCZUnbAyc8Not to mention, the new PortalCraft custom map link (includes my offline server map under it, you'll see): https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dm0eitxhy5kqv1u/w5-w3cGWX1Okay, well if anyone wants to help on the project they are welcome to. try out dropbox, and post the link for any map ideas.
Thanks,
chsmith5 (Map developer)It works with parental restrictions, so don't worry! and to get the mods, you don't need WinRAR! I will upload a youtube video explaining it all and post the link onto here later. Parental time restrictions kick me off at 8 and it's 7:56, so GOODNIGHT!

I felt nostalgic of the old world generation in minecraft so I decided to install 1.0.0, the first release of MineCraft I've played.
After a little while, I wanted to get the Faithful 32x32 pack installed. Currently using Faithful 1.2.x.
With the newest version of MCPatcher, I'm having issues getting some textures to work.
Is there any way I can get HD texture packs completely working in 1.0.0?

Instead I used DropBox, so here's the downlad link:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/o9isyqm9d41c4lp/ZmAN8Yy2ByOkay, so I tested the link and got stuff for level data...
Here's the real link. Left click the folder and select "download."

•Inficraft
•Dimensional doors
•Portal gun
All of these mods come in seperate mod engines
(That means no WinRAR to install it!)
Now, you may be asking:
"I see three different download links. Which one should I choose?"
Well, that's easy. click on the "Download .exe" Link.
I recommend backing up, unless you want to completely delete .minecraft if a mod doesn't work.
